ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Can't wait to watch the replay, seemed from behind the goal that we were in complete control for 90 mins.

Everyone put in a shift, no passengers but Sainsbury was MoM for me, majestic performance

Tesco was superb. Easily MOM.
What a year he has had.
One year ago he was doing a meet and great with another youth team player at Woy Woy maccas and was pleased that someone knew who he was.
Now he has been in the top 3 mariners all year and has topped it off with a wonderful game in The GF. What a champion.

Congratulations to CCM, their marvellous team, coaching staff esp Arnie, club management, volunteers and fans.

Your victory was well deserved. Enjoy the celebrations.

As a WSW foundation member, I was of course disappointed we didn't secure that "other" title, however we were not good enough on the day and CCM were the better team.

We are of course still proud of the Wanderers' incredible achievements on and off the field in our first season, and look forward to joining the Mariners in next year's ACL to do Australia proud.

All the best to CCM in their ACL game tomorrow (what a challenge logistically!) and I'll be travelling up to Gosford for final critical group game on the 30th - I hope your supporters come out in big numbers to help get a result. I won't really be a "neutral" as the Australian football community needs to bind together in our national interests and growth of the game.

Football in Australia was a winner yesterday, just look at today's SMH for example - finally we get the massive mainstream coverage we all deserve.

Thanks Pablo, you guys were awesome this season and have a lot to be proud of. Re unity in ACL, I couldn't agree more mate. That's brilliant you plan on travelling to add your support. More fans with your attitude and the game in Oz will be a true world powerhouse.

Best Wishes

got to work this morning and put on some music. literally the first song of a random pick from thousands of songs that came on was 'we are the champions'. awesome.

Got in the car this morning. Started it up. The first thing on the radio literally was "Central Coast Mariners are the Champions".

Switched to ABC and the mystery voice was Hutch doing his after game speech. Pulled over and phoned but someone
else already beat me to it.

I Agree with Bozza ...

FORMER Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Bosnich rates the players in the A-League grand final:
CENTRAL COAST MARINERS
Mat Ryan (7) The keeper was largely untested but did what he had to do.
Josh Rose (8) Defended solidly and always available as a wide outlet.
Pedj Bojic (8) Solid at the back and helped keep the Wanderers' wide defence busy.
Patrick Zwaanswijk (8) Scored the opener and a calm and experienced operator at the back.
Trent Sainsbury (9) My man of the match. An absolute colossus.
John Hutchinson (8) Largely controlled the midfield and very calm in possession.
Bernie Ibini (8) Caused the Wanderers plenty of angst with his speed and direct running.

Ollie Bozanic (8) Part of a Mariners midfield that really clicked on the day.
Michael McGlinchey (7) Perhaps not as influential as he might have hoped.
Daniel McBreen (8) Won and scored the penalty and proved a great link between midfield and attack.
Mile Sterjovski (8) Battled hard up front and could have ended up with two goals.
SUBSTITUTES
Nick Fitzgerald (7) Solid when he came on.
Mitchell Duke (7) Didn't do much wrong.

I think a lot of homeless people in Sydney are going to get a nice new free t-shirt.

Cocky mugs!

Btw....great post Pablo. Drive by fans were gracious after the game and showed class which was a massive improvement from game 1 at Parra.

Pretty accurate. I'd probably of given Pedj a 7 and weemac a 7.5. Apart from that good marking.

Bernie looked awesome watching the replay.

We were. Some people say that WSW didn't turn up - personally, I think that's absolute garbage. They put up a damn good fight - but they just didn't look crash hot for most of the game because we didn't let them. We were absolutely everywhere. Every loose ball, we got there first. No matter where they were on the park, they were under pressure - and even our strikers were making sure they couldn't get the ball upfield.

They didn't play bad - we just controlled the entire game. Except for about 15-20min in the second half (i remember Fox Sports at one point showing 88% possession in their favour), we tore them up.

Not that this alone decides the match - a few dodgy penalty calls in our favour helps (but screw it, good to see a GF decision go out way for once), but we were definitely the better team.

Yup, watched the replay and we bossed them all except that brief spell in the 2nd half.

No one had a poor game, everyone was absolutely up for it.

Fox commentators were gagging for WSW to get into it and like to dopey idiots trying to sell of their "WSW Champions 2013" shirts for $5 after the game, we spoiled their party.

In my mind, Trent was MoM and Sterj easily had his best ever game for us. That lob hung for so long, people were able to go to the toilet and come back before it grazed the bar.

IIRC, Maty only had 1 real save to make (the tip over in 2nd half)
