Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Out of the 4 or so games I saw of the youth league, I think I only saw Brady give away the ball a couple of times.

He scored a ridiculous free kick for Lightning last season. Drilled it from about 20 or so out straight into the pigeons.

makes no sense to be short on the full compliment of players

Yarp.

If you've got 30 spots you may as well fill them, and we're not going to go and pay 10 new guys who aren't even going to make the bench.

on the pessimistic (or amazingly optimistic) side, if it comes to the last couple of games and we're in a position where we can play kids, it'd be excellent experience.

qualifying again would be super so we could repeat the dose.

I thought Brad Porter took the best free kicks (apart from Jedi) until I saw that one from Brady - unbelievable power and accuracy

Just about made it worthwhile watching the Lightning last season

With that said - Porters free kicks are amazing.
One free kick from just outside the box went over the goal, but dipped so much that is still hit the sponsorship side behind the goal.

I saw him put some pearlers in. Why Hutcho takes free kicks is beyond me. Porter should take them and go for goal.

ever heard of training?

they are youths at senior mariners training. if you watch carefully, new signings and young guys and stuff often have different warm up shirts to their shorts - even in game warm-ups.

You think he might have edited it himself?

Looks like he has lost 20kg - banned from the Grange is he?

LOL, won't happen

I was clearly joking.

But judging by the photo, and depending on when it was taken... I guess it is a possibility.
He wouldn't be training with them for nothing...
