I agree Gumprecht is a class player- may be right for another season, but not longer.

We need a quicker CB - we get exposed to often by pacey forwards

I would also like to get a playmaker in the middle of the park.

Maybe Jedi could become a CB and we get a new playmaker...

... after tonight's performance, and non-performances by certain players, I'd be surprised if people still stand by the whole 'gumps shouldn't get another contract' thing. He was outstanding last night, leastways compared to a few other players. And was one of the few players who crossed the ball well, and run into position after passing the ball.

With last nights goal shot effort I'd have sworn we were playing baseball, not football.

Exactly, everything good in the last 15 mins was coming through Gumps

At the age of 33, I think the league has sadly, outgrown him.

TBH, I find it laughable that people think that he has another 2-3 years left in him.

As oppossed to Petrie who was 36 (but one of Lawrie's mates) and had never played at the standard that Gumps had.
Viddy is 37.
BTW what money is he suppossed to be on?

is this the same wombat we are talking about?

Agree totally and along with Simon should start next week to try something different and give incentive for sasho to fire off the bench. I hope Boogard is back to firm up defence as much as can currently be expected without Heff that has gapping holes over the last few weeks.

I'm probably going to annoy some people with comment but it's only my opinion.

People keep praising Matty Simon and don't get me wrong I think he has potential and hope we sign him next season......but....in what position has Matty been employed? Striker.  What are strikers paid to do? Score. How many has Matty scored? None.  Which IMO is not good enough!  People may argue that strikers also need to create chances, but IMO you have 2 up front so both can score.......Matty needs to work on his shooting or look at changing positions so Lawrie can spend some money on an attacker who will find the net a few times!

Matty frustrates the opposition and closes people down well, but when your a striker you need to score goals!  If he wasn't a Central Coast junior people would be roasting him!

Not Ashley Cole "roasting" I hope :)

I think he has potential wide MF

Yep I would like to see him on the right and Kwassy on the left. And I would like to see him take a few SHOTS rather than trying to create goals for others every time.
