ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not terrible with a bunch of youth players starting and getting important minutes. Probably not the best picture choice though if you’re talking about youth.

I don't want to teach Monty to suck eggs......but surely now is the time to get minutes into your first 11 and bed down combinations. The last 20 or 30 mins is to give the rookies a run.

I am sure he has a solid plan for his first eleven.

He also needs to give the others game time, keep them motivated and have them fit enough to be pushing the others.

All part of squad management and keeping everyone settled and happy.

This, Monty is big on development of all players in the squad, so none fall behind unnecessarily meaning competition for spots is maintained.

The boys play Sydney this weekend in preparation for Blacktown and I am sure Monty will field his strongest team for that as final preparation.

This will be an interesting trial as Sydney have trialled very well and I don’t think they have conceded. Will be a good litmus test.

Yes sadly
Makes it really difficult to judge how teams are preparing/looking for the upcoming season and we haven't seen many A League teams in the FFA Cup either. At least some FFA Cup games are coming up soon so we can get a look at us and more of the competition. Otherwise it's a real mystery.

Understand COVID restrictions, costs of running game days etc but thought enabling a limited number of fans into somewhere like Pluim would be beneficial to all parties. I’d pay $10 to go and watch.
