Vicelich played well in the WC .. and plays for a Auckland side could be a cheap up for from what I saw was a quality center back...

Soccer: Club honours Vicelich

By Lincoln Tan

All Whites great Ivan Vicelich was last night honoured by his club, Auckland City FC, for being the first player in the club's history to have taken part in the soccer World Cup Finals.

The midfielder played all three games in the tournament and was a major part of New Zealand's undefeated run.

"This is the first time anyone from our team has played in the finals, and we're just proud of everything he's done and achieved," said Steve Vuksich of Auckland City FC.

A crowd of more than 100 supporters packed the clubrooms in Sandringham for the ceremony, which was also attended by former All Whites captain Chris Zoricich.

Vicelich described playing in the World Cup as "a dream come true".

We are in talks with a new keeper..someone who's name hasn't been mentioned yet but would easily be our 1st string keeper

There is also a plan b who would be good enough to become our 1st choice.

Fingers crossed for the No1 target tho

Fingers crossed but doubt it will eventuate. Even Plan B may not eventuate.

There must be some serious investigations and negotiations going on behind the scenes at the Mariners at the moment.

Ivan Necevski would have to be one of the first choices. I assume "serious investigations and negotiations" would be getting him out of his Sydney contract.

Serious investigations and negotiations could also be to get Redmayne out of his Brisbane contract...

Well if the negotiations with this "number 1" falls through, can we atleast get some gossip on who it is? Considering the experts on the forum think its unlikely might as well share the dreams with us all dont you think?

That's all contingent on no one leaving Jaza.

Forgot about Zwaanswijk. Has this been announced? Is he in the country? Has he been at training. Have not seen him on any team sheet.
