Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hi Offsider

First official day of training is tomorrow, there will be some media coming from this with the information you seek - just a day too early. Also every time we announce a player we have our squad lists and this is available on the website as well. In regards to fixing and rebuilding confidence for people on the forum I am sure is to be tempered with making sure that any information is factual and accurate - last thing anyone wants is talking a big game and failing to deliver.

Am I confident yes, but a lot of very very hard work needs to happen right now.

Thank you .......... football club and ffa web sites are very unreliable I have found in the past. Forums like this one where your involvement is much better. A post earlier said first day was today ???.

Anxiety levels are high as yours must be after last season. Hope your efforts this season go to plan.

Cheers :pirashoot:

. so, first day of preseason and it is pissin' down ... good test to see what the boys are made of - sugar or steel

. i don't mind a bit of rust so early in the preseason (steel) - let us hope that there is not too many left that dissolve in the wet (sugar) ... or fail to appear at all

The media event for today was cancelled so there must have been a change of plans for training.

They hadn't expected our new star to have recovered well enough from his ankle surgery to be able to play this far into the season, so they were going to plan for him to fly out and present yesterday - as it turns out he was recovered enough until he hit the training pitch yesterday, so now they've postponed in the hopes that he might be able to make it for the presentation after all.

Hey Shaun

Can you let us know if DaSilvas contract was a marquee one outside the cap and if he does remain on the books if it will affect our salary floor spend? There was talk about him being on a contract outside the cap before last season and also brought up in a recent article by the world game I think.

Hi Shaun, at this point in time does the Club still want DDS to play, if possible, or would they prefer to sell him on?

I imagine from the Club's standpoint it must be one or the other.

Hey Guys

I am sure you can all appreciate that the only comment I can make in regards to Daniel is that he is still on extended annual leave and not required to return to training at the moment. I am guessing that by this time next week things will have progressed so we can all get on with pre-season.

But what I can say is that midday tomorrow the draw will be announced and I can confirm we will be playing all home games at Central Coast Stadium.

Excellent news.

Also on DDS - it's nice just to know that resolution is around the corner one way or another

Next two weeks I’ve seen today as well. It’s being finalized

First round away to Roar apparently

MIKE Mulvey has been given a first-up chance to exact revenge on the club that sacked him.
Having not coached in the A-League since being axed by Brisbane in November 2014, recently appointed Central Coast mentor Mulvey will return to Suncorp Stadium on October 21 when the Mariners take on the Roar.

It’s understood the Roar requested a date with Mulvey’s Mariners to open their 2018-19 A-League campaign, with the grudge match to be confirmed when the season draw is released today.

Mulvey guided the Roar during the club’s 2013-14 A-League premiership-championship winning campaign, but was fired six months later after the Roar started the following season with five losses from their first six matches.

Mike Mulvey won an A-League title with the Roar.

Following his dismissal from the Roar, Mulvey had coaching stints in Malaysia and Thailand before being offered the Mariners job in April this year.

Mulvey’s squad will include former Roar striker Corey Gameiro, who wasn’t offered a new deal by Brisbane coach John Aloisi at the end of last season.

Unfortunately for Mike we have a terrible record against the Roar. Would be good to start fixing that. I thought last season we might against the Retirees but just another let down that summed up Okon’s season.
