ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

From what Sean said on the podcast the other week, old injury that blew up a bit mysteriously when he trained on it. So it not likely he's torn a tendon or cracked something and explains why they hope for the short turn around. Could be arthritis or an auto immune response or some debris floating around from before possibly... anyway not trying to diagnose it my point is that it may be something which is genuinely treatable within the time frame they've put forward. Let's hope so.

Trent Sainsbury (Jiangsu Suning, China)

It was an exciting first year for Chinese football for the defender.

He moved to the Netherlands to Nanjing and one of the biggest spending clubs in the world. He was soon lining up with Brazilian stars such as Alex Teixeria and Ramires.

A group-stage exit in the 2016 AFC Champions League was a disappointment, albeit a very close-run one.

In the Chinese Super League however, Jiangsu pushed Guangzhou Evergrande all the way and then lost to the same team in the CFA Cup final.

It was a solid foundation for what should be twin assaults in China and Asia in 2017. Whatever is in store for the Caltex Socceroo, it is sure not to be boring.

They're right too. Like us without Monty. Or indeed how we were when Mile left. The rest of our season was chalk and cheese that year. Barely won another game for 6 months I think it was until we signed Rostyn. At least that's how I remember it. Easily Lawrie's worst period in charge.

So many coaches seem to not factor in leadership, presence and the nature of a player and what that brings. And it's not just in football. It's something that I think great managers, like Ferguson, Mourinho and pep intuitively understand and a balance they always strive to achieve.
