ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Good to see Matt is looking at getting out of Valencia even if only a loan deal. Seems he is well out of favour with the coach.

So good seeing Tommy kick ass. Puts a grin on my face ear to ear. Very likeable player/person.
Him partnered with Mooy will give us a quality decade if we can just get a quality striker. Possibly McClaren, I don't rate Juric enough. He's ok. But we need better if we're to do much.

Must be strange for Matty to not be playing. Needs to move. Too much quality to warm the pine and if it starts to cost him his roos position that would be a disaster.

Sorry FP - cannot see it happening. Mooy dominated poor teams (including ours) in the HAL. When he was pressured by the better teams he was found wanting. In WCQ he looked good in stage 1. Now against the better sides he has been poor. Mooy only performs in an attacking sense when his team is dominating. As well he doesn't have the defensive capabilities of Milligan, Jedinak, Luongo or Irvine. WCQ and World Cups can't afford this type of player as part of the starting XI.

McClaren is an interesting one. I saw Holman play as striker when he was unavailable and he made the runs that I get frustrated about when McCaren doesn't make them. Hopefully, the timing of Jamie's runs will improve with experience but he frustrates the hell out of me at the moment.

Yeah I thought he was outstanding against England but then, TBH, I thought he's just looked burnt out... maybe too much pressure being applied by unrealistic FOX fappers hasn't helped much either. Still hoping he lifts to another level over these next 4 years. Been a fan since he was a junior, and he has a great work ethic... so hoping you're wrong.

With McLaren, yeah I do feel like I'm stretching. I think the best option for Russia 2018 is to naturalise Fornaroli ASAP. And I'm not really joking. We don't have a striker even close to his level at present. (With all due respect to Tim's amazing big game goal scoring ability)

Mooy has told his team he is cooking. His team said he has said he's having trouble with the travel especially from cold to hot, he is doing OK in reverse. He has been absolutely horrible in last couple of away games and even one at home on the back up. Just don't tell Ange as he doesn't care.
Taggert was better than McLaren when he left Jets but injury has stuffed him up. Jamie needs to go oversees

I don't think Mooy can handle the amount of games the English play, as well as the travel it's disappointing but I feel he would be a better contributer for the national team if he was in the A-League. From watching him when he first went to City he just oozed class even before Fox got their hard on for him. I personally think if he can get used to the travel and fatigue he could easily be a starting player for a higher English team. But whether he can get used to it is the biggest thing.

Don't forget this is his first full season overseas and with a hectic WCQ schedule, he will only benefit from the all this experience IMO. Have watched some of his games and he has been doing very well and will be interesting to see where his career goes after this season.

Great description of tommy by a Celtic supporter

So much class. He's a magician. People often cite the lack of quality of the opposition in counter to Tommys form, but most of those finishes are world class and it has nothing to do with his opposition. Love a player who only needs to create the smallest space and who will and can shoot. Exciting days ahead.

Thanks for posting that greenlig. Enjoyed it immensely.
