ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Maty on the otherhand would/will NEVER join in such shenanigans. He'd put in the same stella performance filling in for his mates' AA11 side whilst home on a holiday.
That's the beauty of Mary Ryan. He had focus and drive in every game he plays. Love seeing him between the sticks for a massive club!

Apparently Sainsbury is going to Jiangsu Sainty for EUR700k. That's nearly AUD1.1m. If there was a 20% sell-on clause there too, that's a lazy AUD200k making its way to us.

What happened to the "8-figure-deal"!?

From a Seb Hassett article I've just quoted in the turbulence thread:

"Tony Rallis, who spent this week brokering Trent Sainsbury's lucrative move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning, says he was "blown away" by what was presented to him during the course of negotiations.

The move will make Sainsbury the second highest-paid player in the Socceroos' setup, trailing only Tim Cahill, who signed an extension for 2016 with his club, Shanghai Shenhua. Sainsbury is understood to have agreed a deal worth $3.5 million per season after tax."

If he's there for three years, the wages plus transfer fee total ~$11,700,000 - an 8-figure sum.

Made a mistake on the transfer fee - I'm used to only seeing Euros on Transfermarkt but the currency for Trent's transfer fee was pounds. That bumps the transfer fee to over $1.4m, and 20% to over $280k.

...now if only Rogic could get a big deal on as well...

Looks like the talk of Rogic to Leeds was false. They havent mentioned him at all.

Shame, it would have been good for both parties imho.

In the end, Celtic wanted too much. Leeds were genuinely interested but weren't going to pay the GBP3m that Celtic wanted.

tommy f'n who
The Tommy who might've made us ~GBP600k / ~AUD1.2m in sign-on fees had Leeds been silly enough to put a fragile pony in a Clydesdale's league.

I see caceres got 2 yellows last night. Second suspension already since switching

Yeah both Caceres & Fitzy started. Caceres got a red so two weeks off coming up.

Fitzy missed a sitter as well so nothing has changed there.

Leeds had GBP 3.7m in the bank after selling Byram to West Ham.
Shame for Tommy that Celtic over valued him.
If Rogic can survive in SPL then he can survive in Championship. Its faster than SPL but not as dirty.

No disrespect to you GrA , but I'd hardly think Caceres & Fitzy playing at Melb. City would qualify them to be classed as 'Conquering the World' like their fellow former team-mates in here like Messrs Rogic, Ryan, Sainsbury etc.

Maybe the 2015/16 Other A-League Games, is ALL they've conquered. ;)
