ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i have the same doubts as everyone else .but i'll be paying up early .
as i've said before .i'll pay more even for a 1% share holder certificate worth nothing but a piece of paper

feel free to throw stones

Top post - we all say that we would buy shares to help the club through. Why are we complaining about getting cash in for early renewals.

Great offer, "To thank our dedicated members".

If you do not renew for next season by April 2nd you do not get to keep your regular seats. Thanks a lot.

Asking me to put up $1k with the chance the club may go the way of North Qld. Thanks again.

Remember "FFA will no longer bail out clubs" Frank Lowy.

If they need to do this to keep the club going now, how in the world are they going to fund the Asian Champs?

You are thanking me for my support by asking me to renew 6 months earlier than normal. Get real and start telling us the facts. You can feed us bullshit but don't expect us to eat it.

Great deal, buy early off the plan, commit by 2nd April or miss out. Does this sound like a property developer spiel?

I get very concerned when a property developer offers me a "great offer".

Thank you for the offer butI think I will wait until the ownership is sorted out, (mid Jan, end of Jan, next day or two, maybe even by the 2nd April?).

Instead of offering a "Great offer to reward our dedicated members" why not state that the club is having cash flow problems and to tide them over until the new ownership deal is sorted they would appreciate as many members as possible renew their membership for next season.

I would then probably look on the offer with a less jaundiced eye.

If they want my money early I would like to be kept informed as to what exactly is the state of the club at present and how negotiations are progressing rather than rely on rumors and repeated media reports that a deal is near.

It has become to much like listening to politicians.

Stop spinning it and tell us the truth.

AM, I respect that you've added a cooler post this morning. Too tired to post last night but had these thoughts...

- If the club folded before next season and I lost my money on the earlier subscription, my level of devastation would be a million times more for the club than my money.

- If the club was taking money for goods or services they didn't expect to be able to provide, people are in very deep shit. People, such as Peter Turnbull wouldn't want that shit.

- Last ACL campaign, there was a (very well priced) early bird package for existing members. This arrangement makes it free (can't see they're doing the wrong thing by me)

My question is how does this affect the kids with Ausgrid memberships. As a previous Gold member, my son had retained his reserved seat (thank you CCM) under this program but if I have to renew now to keep his seat and get the ACL games free, he'll pay for something Ausgrid has (and I'm guessing might again) sponsored at no cost. Obviously need to know before Nagoya Grampus on 20 March.
(I know... I'll check with the club. If it does cost and helps them, all good)

I'm not sure what you mean here - is it a bad thing to have memberships for next season open early?
What I mean is that will this provide money only for the club to linger on for a few more weeks.

From rumors I have heard the problem with finalising the sale is a matter of control of the club and the buyers are holding out until we hit the wall and will take full control.

My query is would that be better happening sooner than later?

I fully agree, I would feel the same.

What I want to know;

Is it part of the negotiations demanded by the Russians to guage the level of support by the fans?

Is the proposed takeover really supported by the current ownership?

Is the proposed takeover being forced upon us by the FFA?

Will this money be used to pay the rumored outstanding bills (Arnie's bonuses, players super, etc...)and hopefully keep Arnie for the next year of his contract?

Or will the money be used just to hang on for a bit longer, to impede the takeover, in the hope that we will be saved in the future by the new tv deal and stop FFA taking back the licence (a la Con) and immediately selling it on?

If I had these answers I would happily part with increased fees.

I want to do what is best for the club, not the present owners, not the Russians and not the FFA.

Has anyone seen a mention that we can pay the renewal in monthly portions like last year? I've searched and can't see anything about it.
I can't justify paying the full amount in one hit - I have other, more compelling, expenses just now, so if it's just the one payment then "include me out".

Thanks for that.
I went in to sign up, but I can't find where to select the option before I go to "Pay". Do I have to go there to select? I don't want to go there blind and end up with my card being hit with the full amount and then the card bounces.

At this point I really don't care if it's predominantly yellow, or equal mix of both (not predominantly navy, though) - I just wish we would pick a design and stick with it! Why do they need to fart around with our uniforms every couple of years?

If it was really about sales then I think we would at least be able to buy them in shops!

I'm sure I read in an email that if you wish to take up the part payment option you had to do so over the phone.
