Yep, its only one game of many but we couldn't ask for a better result. The performance was very good and the new players made valuable contributions but so did the rest of the team.  Spirits have lifted. Lets hope they keep it up.

Walked into work this morning to be told by a couple of SFC members that they think we will get done by 4 or 5 against Melb.

I pointed out that we will (as usual) be a lot more competitive that the media have suggested (as usual) and whilst we may not beat MV and may indeed lose, we wont be disgraced.

I ended up with telling them that we will have our "usual" season............and so will they.

I'm looking forward to the next installment now ;D

I disagree.We should gloat and give out heaps while we can..........it might only last a week you know!

I would give Hutch a starting spot definately, he deserves it at the moment. If others are better throughout the season they will swap, thats why you have a squad.

hutch now seems to be the only backwards oriented player on the squad that i can see, and it can not work for much longer, with the rest of squad, showing a very attacking intent

Yeah, not sure why we are always been written off? To be honest i think they can't see past the fact that we are a relatively small region and have no right to be competing with the "big" teams. Whenever the "experts" predict the top few it is always Melbourne,Sydney,Adelaide,Brisbane...this year add Gold Coast and Perth. It'll take a few years to change that perception.

4-5 years not enough? (including two semis one grand final!)

I thought Hutch was magnificent;embodied what the club and the team is about - unselfish, never stopped running, bite in every tackle, up for the fight and put his heart, soul, blood, bone and body on the line without question. Pure team player in a pure team performance.
