Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. I’m not hearing good things regarding the Macarthur management. Apparently the indigenous academy is far from being set up, there’s discontent from the council and there’s problems with the use of the training facilities. On top of that they haven’t bonded with the local association as they wouldn’t give a guarrentee they would be there in 10 years times. The rumours of Macarthur being a rebranded Sydney United keep getting stronger….:popcorn:

I’d be pissed too if I gave a $1 lease expecting to make back something on food and bev then the club struggles to pull 2k and completely fails at engaging the community. If the suggestion is it’s a rebrand the next phase looks to be complaining Campbell town isn’t working and needing to relocate.

FFA cup coming up tomorrow night (Gold Coast v victory) then the only two games of next round going ahead are on at the same time on Saturday night. You couldn’t make this stuff up,

That’s fair, but this year is almost the opposite of last year where so many were in the hunt for the 6, this year it feels like nix, Brisbane, Adelaide (especially with these losses), potentially even Perth & WSW all in a fight for the lower rungs of the ladder. There’s probably only 5-6 teams that I feel are doing pretty well right now and even some of them are playing some unattractive, unconvincing football.
