We are the only AFC team out of both groups to have not conceded a goal and the only team to have won two matches / be on six points, and we have a game in hand over some others. Life could only be better if Mile or Matt Simon had gotten a run tonight.

Only a few times Matt Simon didnt quite reach heart attack. The only better feeling than that miss by Qatar however is you scoring goals so keep up the good work!

Gotta say Scott McDonald played his role well last night. His job was clearly to run into the corners as we moved the ball up the pitch. This constantly created the space inside to do damage. The first goal was a good example - watch the replay. There he goes with his square run into the corner taking a defender with him, opening up the space for Carney, Kennedy and Cahill to do their thing.

I agree Brett! My MOM however was Jason Culina he was outstanding playing in the defensive midfield role helping Australia keep possession and playing great balls across the park and switching play. Grella and Valeri will struggle to get back in the def midfield role.

Where do you think the A-League compares? My view is bottom of the Championship of League 1 England. Or Top League in countries like Norway and Denmark.

On the English Football Pyramid I say Australian football is comparable with League 1 or with the bottom of the SPL, i.e. the bottom 6 clubs
