ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Are we getting screwed by Bluetongue Stadium?

Personally, whilst 100% better than 16, Bay 2 is better.

Security was laughably OTT and to be fair even they had the good grace to look a bit sheepish sometimes.

If it was a flare watch, reading this board would have clearly identified the culprit (and his distinctive garb)..............

Yes it was a watch after the last game and I have to say thanks to all for no trouble last night.  I was more concerned over comments about pitch invaders after reading the posts but I guess we should have had all the secuity on the Jianjin coach and Manager.

and not take everything on this forum literally. There are a lot of in-jokes and other such nonsense.

Bay 1 would be overflowing into bay 2 on a clear day. Is only half a bay. Bay 2 would be the goods

Why dont the Marinators go where the current away supporters sit?
In Bay1 or 2 you will not be seen by TV cameras and will lose the affect of having a passionate supporter group.
It will look like the other team is at home as tv cameras head west to east!
Also with many night games it is not like you will be getting the sun in your eyes. Closer to the club as well.

With the rugby league on Saturday night it looks like the pitch will go from average currently to back to bad

It will be interesting to see how the pitch looks after the rain and if they move under 20s away from the stadium to look after surface.

This obsession some seem to have with "getting on TV" is downright weird.... The Cove, BWB, The Den, Yellow Fever, whatever Adelaide call themselves and the Glory Boys are fine with not getting on TV that much during the natural course of play, i.e. not when the camera specifically pans over to them - who _honestly_ gives a shit what the TV audience thinks??

And the "night games" comment with regards to sitting on the Eastern side as opposed to where we were the other night - the sun doesn't actually go away until about 7.30, 8pm from the change to daylight savings onwards - 7pm kickoffs still equal sunlight until around about, or even after half time (and all pre-game for those who go into the bay early).  We've seen the detrimental effect that has on everyone in Newcastle.

Western >>>> Eastern

P.S.  Bulldogs in town on Saturday night ay??  Board up the windows and hide your daughters.  ;)

All those supporter groups you named actually do get on television and do make an effort to provide tifo, noise and coordination as to look good on tele (not to be mistaken as the sole purpose, but they take this things into account)

Yeah, _when the camera pans over_ to them - I said it.  An incidental glance out the left (or right) side of the lens isn't really that exciting, is it??  BWB and The Shed barely make it onto normal camera shots because they're so far behind their respective goals....

Long shots of corners and such when we were in 16 would register on camera - and it wasn't that exciting, was it??  Tbh, this is the first time (that I recall anyway) that this topic (being on camera or not) has even been discussed??

In the end - does a presence on camera truly matter to the majority of people on here??

Nah, just save the camera pan for those two or three times a game when I unleash.  :p

But seriously, is it that important??

in view of camera isn't the most important reason for the move, but if we moved somewhere where we weren't to be seen, that would render things like coordination, tifo, banners, flags, and Craig O'toole's wig as useless.

We need to be seen, so many people click on the a-league team and comment about the supporter group in the corner of the lens etc, or the absence of as we have seen in the last three years when we have some troll come on here saying our numbers were small.

Seeing we have Monique's ear, maybe she could cast some light on the pitch work that necessitates giving up two home games.

Who's behind it? What is involved?
