Big Eddy is going to walk into that front line licking his lips, alou has to do so much more to be a threat and just isn’t doing it.

Great result from a flat performance but the best teams get results even when they are not playing at their usual best.
Torres was everywhere and creating. Niz super as Always and with new players coming in we are looking very strong again.

Off topic but can anyone tell me why the Wellington game Tuesday week is at 2pm when I am at work? Have they got the time wrong?

We only played with 9 for most of the game so that is a plus. Alou and Theo were just wasting clean shirts.

Torres deserved that late goal. Hit that really well and the keeper was playing for the cross goal so great hit.

In summary, thought we were completely outplayed first half. Cats seemed to run out of purr though 2nd half and we came out firing.
Am I wrong in thinking Doka did.. ok? Not a Storm, right was def weak )especially 1st half) but did better than I expected.
Thought it was one of the best games I’ve seen from Theo. He is putting in 100% and improving every week. Maybe he also listens to the podcast.
Fantastic game by Danny and I am mildly in love with Torres. Even before he scored. He’s the goods.
Wilson wasn’t the worst he has been.
Faz and Niz exceptional. Maxy and Migzy also good. No issues with Dan.
Kaltak saved us a few times, especially first half.
Kuol isn’t striking. Currently a liability up front although made some valuable interceptions on the pitch.
Thoughts? Who did I miss.
Oh, the new guy. Looked eager and won us a few fouls. Looks promising.

I don't think completely outplayed is true. It was a pretty even half.

Torres sent a few across the face and Danny made an excellent save on their good chance.

Alou is just coasting for me, doesn't seem to have that killer instinct he had in his first stint with us. Complacent because we paid for him maybe?

I think the way we played tonight mostly suited the roar and their weaknesses. When we did break quickly things came unstuck and we scored twice. When we slowed it down they looked much more comfortable. Theres signs of improvement under Cahn but they aren’t making it easy on him without reinforcements.

Wilson up front was a curious sub. I don’t think there’s anything he offered that DWH doesn’t. Nothing particularly good or bad from him though, was fine with him taking the tactical yellow.

There were some pretty vocal blokes at the back of my bay and I heard Wilson’s name 10x as much as any other player. Even got blamed for mistakes by Torres a few times where he wasn’t near the ball or involved in play. The carry on towards him is a bit embarrassing.

Yup. There was also a heap of Triple J top 100 parties.

But still, really disappointing.

First half pretty even but top goal to di Pizio.We were on top most of the second half though they did come close to equalising.
Torres MOTM for me with top performances from Faz,Nizzy,Doka,Kaltak and Danny.Theoharous had a mixed bag as usual but did some excellent defensive work.Balard is making those runs though the midfield which unsettle the opposition.Kuol seemed to be slow to react to some good low crosses and needs to slide in as top strikers do.

Surprised how often nizz lost possession tonight. Was also surprised how up for it Brizz were. Cahn factor, no doubt.

One of thse nights... could easily have drawn that but got the win we deserved. Doka and Theo much improved. Torres was very dangerous all night. Alou too lazy - never got to the front post for those dangerous low crosses. As for Di Pizio - he'd hardly had a touch when I said to my mate: We've got to get Di P on the ball - he's just wasted otherwise. No sooner had I said it, he got the ball in space - started a finished the move for our first goal, which was very well taken.

Might have lost a few hundred there and maybe a few more from worries of rain but 745 isn’t our ideal timeslot unless it’s a big game. 5 is a much more family friendly especially if the weather is mild.
