ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

All time Mariners greats

As a all time great Danny is my number as he has given us five seasons of outstanding service, with the exception of some blimps in season four and that was understandable.

A player who has played one season for the Mariners may have been a great player but not a Mariners' All Time Great.

Not an All Time Great but the most influential player in the Mariners is John Hutchinson. When he has an average game we pretty lose all those games.

Is that why we've lost so many games the last couple of years :)

exactly right

poor end to season four, sensational form at the start of season five and dropped off at the end of the season

Or when he doesn't play at all ...we win 3.0.

Hutcho has been a solid player for us and i'd probably have him in my starting 11 (on the flank) but sometimes he is a hinderance.
I do agree that in the first half of this season...he was superb but second half of the year he was crap.
I wonder what the new coaching set up will make of him....take him to the next level....or bin him?

has hutcho ever played in the backline ? or could he?

He has filled in at LB.

When he's played at LM with Heff behind (particularly 05/6) he played quite a narrow role and Heff regularly blew past on the outside with Hutch dropping in.

I remember seeing him play LB in a trial game vs Lightning, he's no LB let me tell you!  He was skinned a few times and copped a yellow for getting frustrated and lashing out, at HAL level he'd get owned!
