ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

AFC Cup

Depends if we progress past the group and how quick they get him home
The issue is where we are at with our season. Finishing top two means they don’t have to reschedule our semi final should we make the AFC Cup final. Earlier in the season, there’s more room to reschedule games

Very credible away performance given our schedule.
Predictable game plan to target our left and Steele had a torrid time but hung in there.
Tapp was dire too.
Decent side but we will do them at Gosford
Yeah Tapp and Torres had their worst game this season. Steele has not had many minutes this season and is not a left back, under the circumstances he's performing well.

Looks like the return flight via Dubai has been cancelled.

So likely

5.55am From Bishek to Istanbul 6hr 5 min - 9:00am in Turkey
7 hour 25 min layover
4.25pm from Istanbul to Bangkok 9hr 40 min - 6:05am Friday in Thailand
2 hr 25 min layover
8:30am from Bangkok to Sydney 9 hr 8:30pm - Friday Sydney

Game 3pm Sunday. Absolutely monstrous schedule.

So they have lost 14 hours of rest and recovery

. wasn't there discussion earlier in the schedule about an enforced 48 hour rest period and games being re-scheduled to allow it?

. 8:30pm Sydney would mean 10pm Friday on the coast at the earliest ... 3pm Sunday would be well within 48 hours

I love the positivity about them struggling on our faster pitch.

However there is the chance it may make their ball movement faster as their discipline of ‘staying on their toes’ was impressive.

And despite our Aleague performances resulting in wins, you have to admit we lost our silky attacking play where we could control passes and move the ball forward nicely a long time ago.
(All those Nizzy draw and pass)

Our goals are mostly individual or set piece.

Even the game against WU and Melbourne City we gave away the ball so much in the first half it was cringe worthy, head in hands stuff every couple of minutes.

So once again it will be an interesting week at the Mariners!

Remember the boring days where we had nothing to play for, was a lot less stressful on the heart.

I think you are over thinking the Kants, they threw everything at this match even with their attacking subs and with 65% possession didn’t really worry us. They would be very worried about the result where as for us it’s as good as a win. They will play a totally different game plan in Oz is my tip.

That pitch was super slow, you could see all our players instinctively hitting their passes that would just slow down and let them press us. That was the best facility they could play at, their actual home stadium only hold 2,000 imagine what that pitch would be like.

Most of their team would be not used to playing on the hard fast surfaces in Australia.

It will make a huge difference.

Like a touring team having to play the 1st test in Perth 😀

. not arguing - but curious: why do you think they would play any different? because they Kant?

. they have nothing to lose, so why wouldn't they try the same game plan ... it worked

Agreed.
I think we have this tie in the bag at home.

I am not so confident about Adelaide though?

They are a much better side than Adelaide...... but if we play Steele at LB they will play Irakunda on that side and we will get done. Either Doka or Storm to LB. When do we get Faz back?

They were fit and physical and had a much tighter passing game than us. We will need Niz back in the midfield to wrest control back from those Kants.

We really missed Papi last night.

Honestly think storm is the only one that can defend irakunda.

It worked because we travelled, they will also be travelling this time around which means they will be less likely to press forward.
We are travelling home too right? We haven't somehow discovered teleportation.

We will have double their travel and a game on Sunday.

I think they will try it early and see if it works. If not then they will sit deep and try to frustrate us.

As are their players. Thus they to will have heavy legs.
