Meh, once scum,always scum.

We can make him feel extra welcome at the double header.

SFC seem to be going around buying up all the f**ktards with poor attitudes. Reddy, Jamieson and now Carle.

At least we can look forward to another "goal of the season"

Half what they paid for Aloi$i for less than half the player, methinks.

Because Aloisi scored so many players for them. Lol.

I don't think Carle will do too much more than Corica. I can guarantee no one will be watching them for Carle, either... particularly if they aren't playing good football. I hope he plays some exciting football, though.

Panny Nikas to NQ according to the club's twitter.

I am really happy for him.

saw that too, will be a good career move for him, getting plenty of games in the first team i'm sure will help his development, just hopefully they use him correctly

Please don't destroy this comment, but is there any rumour that Craig Moore is coming to the Mariners? Yes we now have two central backs, but has anyone else heard anything?

Yeah great new for Panni and well deserved.

New German Schalke 04's defender "Andre Kilian" supposed to be on his way to Fury as well.
Apparently was not having a good time of it. But only 23 and for HAL should be a quality signing for them.

Will watch him with interest. A few games under his belt, gets used to the comp and he could be very good for them

Hopefully not a chance. Though it looks like moore will retire after the cup, hopefully without seeing game time

Wilko, Swan District, Griffiths and Doig all on contract, plus Bojic can play there.... seems a tad unlikely, even with Arnold in charge.

Rumours of ex-socceroo(s) continue to circulate on the Coast but thats the same every off season. Expect its bullshit.

North Queensland sign Togo ... player..

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1012217/Fury-signs-Togo-international

North Queensland Fury has bolstered its defence for the new A-League season with the signing of Togo international Eric Akoto

Having earned 56 caps for Togo, 29-year-old Akoto will add steel to a defence that let in too many goals last season.

He also offers valuable perspective on life having been on board the Togolese team bus that was ambushed during the African Cup of nations, resulting in the deaths of the bus driver, an assistant coach and a team official.

"I'm very happy and honoured to now call myself a North Queensland Fury player," Akoto said.

"The A-League has a growing reputation around the world as a very competitive and highly skilful league.

"And it's this, combined with the great set-up here at the Fury, which attracted me to Australia.

"I've been able to watch a couple of training sessions since I arrived in Townsville and I'm impressed with the squad we have.

"As one of the senior players, I hope to be able to pass on my knowledge to those around me and help play my part in a successful season for the North Queensland Fury."

Fury head coach Franz Straka spoke strongly of the defensive depth he was building, having already signed Mark Hughes and Andre Kilian.

"This is a massive signing for the Fury, both in terms of talent and profile," said Straka, who first observed Akoto when both took part in the Austrian league.

"Eric has a wealth of experience at the very top level, having represented Togo and played for some top clubs in Europe.

"He is a strong, athletic player who reads the game extremely well and leads from the back.

"To win matches, a side must have a strong defence.

"And I believe we now have a defensive roster that rivals any in the A-League."

Akoto had been playing for Crete in the Greek second division.
