Newcastle Jets have signed China striker Zhang Shuo and Italian midfielder Marcello Fiorentini for the A-League season starting in August.
Shuo, 26, has collected 10 caps for China since his international debut in 2004. He arrives at the Jets after a brief stint with Indonesian outfit Persik Kediri.
The Beijing-born frontman has played more than 130 matches in the Chinese Super League, and played for Tianjin Teda in the AFC Asian Champions League 2009 competition.
Central midfielder Fiorentini, 29, started out in the youth system of Serie A club Lazio in the late 1990s. He has spent recent years with Pescara and Palazzolo in Serie C and D respectively.
Both players were trialled among a group of foreign players in the Hunter a few weeks ago.
Jets chief executives John Tsatsimas said the signings completed the Jets' roster.

A-League club Melbourne Victory have signed veteran former South Melbourne and Socceroos goalkeeper Michael Petkovic on a one-year deal.
The 33-year-old played six seasons with South Melbourne, in the old National Soccer League, including two championships and was three times named the league's goalkeeper of the season.
Petkovic has also represented the Socceroos on several occasions, most recently against China in Sydney in 2008.
He has been playing in Turkey since 2002, but said he had long planned to return to the A-League eventually.
He said Victory, who lost last season's A-League grand final to Sydney FC, appealed because they had the ability to help him end his career with another championship.
The Victory needed a new keeper after talented youngster Mitch Langerak, who finished last season as their preferred option in goal, was signed by German club Borussia Dortmund in May.
Petkovic will be vying with New Zealand international Glen Moss for the No.1 berth.

North Queensland Fury have signed English defender Mark Hughes and former Australia youth international Gareth Edds for the 2010/11 A-League season.
Liverpool-born Hughes, 23, who played three games for Barclays Premier League side Everton, before enjoying spells with Northampton and Walsall in the English lower leagues, has agreed to a 12-month deal.
Midfielder Edds, 29 returns to Australia after a 12-year career in England.
He joins the Fury on a one-year contract from Tranmere Rovers following spells with Nottingham Forest, MK Dons, Swindon Town and Bradford City.
The pair, along with fellow newcomer Chris Payne, who has joined from Sydney FC, are expected to make their debuts against the Whitsunday Miners in Mackay on Thursday, July 8.

Harry ........ I am so glad that he wants to come home... IMO you can trace the rise of football in Australia to Harry... track football rise from the 1997 lost to Iran tho to today and the one thing that is constant is Harry... even when the old NSL was crashing tho the floor Football acceptance was on the up ... and Johnny Warren could go and showcase Australia... always tho will he come back or will he stay in Europe especially with his English wife....
