ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A-League Transfers and Rumours

Another media report:

"New A-League club the Melbourne Heart have announced the signing of Socceroos star John Aloisi.

Aloisi, 34, will play what is likely to be the final season of his career in 2010-11 before moving into a coaching role with the foundation club.

Aloisi, best remembered for converting the penalty that put Australia through to the 2006 World Cup, admitted it was difficult leaving Sydney FC, but said joining the Heart was an appealing prospect.

"The main attraction was to be part of a huge club and I think this is going to be a massive club," he said on Monday.

"Also, to get involved in coaching and to be in the sporting capital of Australia, if not the world.

"Everyone knows that Melbourne is No.1 for sport - I want to be involved in that - and especially with a new club, we could build something here and I'm excited to start off with a new club because then I feel really part of it."

Aloisi said the Heart would aim high in their first season, and were a chance to win the premiership.

"I'm looking forward to it firstly as a player playing and scoring goals and hopefully winning the championship because that's going to be our goal," he said.

He really should get himself a new PR flack - makes himself sound like a twat everytime he moves clubs!

Winning the Championship in their 1st season huh?

Will they go undefeated like the Fold Coast?

Disliking them already purely because of that wanker

Aloi$i Bot only has one routine when leaving a club. He has three hundred for leg injuries however...

Slight difference between aiming for the championship, and saying you will win, and be undefeated.

If you are not aiming for the win, time to fold IMO

The players may change, but the cliches remain the same

To be fair he said he wanted to play in front of big crowds, first season he was with them he did not play in front of a bigger crowd than with us, 2nd year he only beat that crowd by playing in melbourne for the final, so is fair to say he is going along the same path via a dissapointing detour of bling

Or maybe because he moved to us for cash, not crowds

One player who will not be at the club next season is out-of-contract New Zealand international midfielder Jeremy Brockie, who has been snatched away by the Newcastle Jets.

He will be joined next season atthe Jets by former fringe Socceroos midfielder Kasey Wehrman, who is returning home after a decade in Scandinavia where he spells with Moss FK, Lillestrom SK, Fredrikstad and finally Lyn.

Roar selling their best.... for 1.8 million

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/a-league/roar-to-sell-trio-20100331-reza.html

ANGE POSTECOGLOU's plans to build a title-chasing side at Brisbane Roar have taken a blow with the club set to accept a $1.8million offer from Dutch side FC Utrecht for three of its most promising players.

Teenagers Tommy Oar and Adam Sarota, and utility Michael Zullo are about to be sold as a package - giving the struggling club a boost to its bottom line but also ripping the heart out of coach Postecoglou's game plan for next season. It's believed the Roar's owners have agreed to the offer in order to avoid a possible financial bailout from FFA.
