Shrewd career management, you can't blame him. Making the World Cup and the Asian Cup Semi-Finals has boosted his reputation. He can keep toiling away but the best outcome is incremental improvement, and a real risk that they stagnate or go back slightly and the fact he made giant strides with them initially gets lost. Stajic just doesn't seem to want to see anything through to full completion. Have a feeling he's a "do the job until I look good" coach. Great career focus but not what you particularly want in a gaffer. Get Glory off the foot of the table ala Mariners when he came, and then bail for the next stepping stone.
I'm sure there's reasons and explanations, but just doesn't look good.
