ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not to mention they still also have the leagues best striker in Vandjyk and caravella imo is a much better signing that Djitte.

It's at the back they need to strengthen now... Though they have Galekovic who is still the best keeper in the HAL and cassio - the SECOND best LB ;D

Victory have also made some great signings.

But it's how well we play as a team with a system that will make us very hard to beat again this year.

I hate losing quality players from the A-League but this is a great opportunity for McKay.At 28 he probably has 5 good years left in him & could use this move as a stepping stone to the EPL.

In saying that I must admit I had a big MARINER`S smile when I read it..

Former Millwall and Liverpool goalkeeper Tony Warner has joined Hyundai A League side Wellington Phoenix.
(source http://blogs.soccernet.com/onthemove/ )
From Wiki......."It was revealed on 5 July that Warner was set to sign for Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, however this was not confirmed. Instead on 17 August 2011 he was announced as signing for the Wellington Phoenix playing in the Hyundai A-League."

Can't help but notice that one H. Kewell seems yet to confirm his club for the coming season.

Yeah just read one of the latest press releases about that.

I sincerely don't like Mandic. I do understand players get these sought of deals in other countries, but
this is the HAL, we are still fighting to survive and grow, and we can't afford to undermine the HAL sponsors or diminish the
attractiveness of our already behind the Australian eight ball (or egg ball as the case maybe) market position.

I want to see Harry and I do unlike many still think he'll still play some great football for a couple of seasons or so.
And he'll be good for some "short term" publicity and generating band wagoners.

But it can't be at ANY cost.
