How did bozza play even though 2 goals against him.
One goal was IDENTICAL to the Sydney one that went over our wall, and Bozza was furious at the wall (seriously, they've gotta sort this out.  It's getting ridiculous now)
As so he should have been! Porter ducked his head out of the way. I couln't believe it...put you head on the ball for christ's sake. I thought Bozza was going to kill someone!!!
That is what I said... Who ducks when they are on the wall... (okay, instinct may play a part, but come on... )

on the first replay you could see porter ducking which looks really embarrassing and justifies the bozza tirade even more. the next replay however shows porter bobbing back up - it seems that he is dipping to jump and head the ball but mistimed it. it looks like he didn't actually need to do either and could have taken it straight on the forehead.

Check this out, just found it on fox sports.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,24271542-5000940,00.html

"A penalty by Roar defender Hyuk-Su Seo on [glow=red,2,300]Dean Hutchinson[/glow] in the 48th minute saw the Mariners with a penalty literally millimetres outside the box.

Regardless of where the foul officially took place, the Mariners' [glow=red,2,300]Michael Jedinak[/glow] ensured the ball ended up in the net after a small detour via the right post." :vomit:

Bloody "reporter" does not even have the respect to get the players names right.

Did anybody listen to the game on the radio?

Who was the fkn idiot that pissed themselves laughing when Trent mention that Lawrie's dog died yesterday?  Disgraceful

Why would Porter be in the wall any way especially in the middle of the wall. Ducking first and then jumping after the ball has already past him looked pretty crook. He is the smallest player in the team and is in the middle of the wall. Not much thought going into who the players and their positioning for the make up of the wall.

The constructive midfield link is still missing and will continue to be that way while ever hutch is playing there. What a difference a Corica type of player would make to our midfield and open up the spaces for the potentially potent strike force that we have.

Huge improvement on the first 2 weeks.

Bojic is all class and was man of the match imo.

Jedi makes a huge difference to the midfield and it showed today.

Some of us were pretty critical of Lawrie last week but credit where it's due he was spot on with his tactics today.Had the balls to sub Matty early enough to give big Dylan time to make an impact even though Matty was still going ok.

I thought Porter did ok today....time will tell if he's out of his depth at this level.

Boogs and Wilko were rocks at the back.Huge improvement from Wilko.Bozza had a lot to do with that imo.

Thank f**k the ref didn't red card Bozza!!

Bikini, I don't know for sure, but given his Croatian heritage, I thought Mile is probably his Christian name.

...Pedj you are now my second faviourite Mariner after the almighty Jedi. It's not even funny how good this guy is... Best player in the A league by a country "Mile"

Pedj was superb. Absolutely lovely touches, vision, agression, ran all day, rock solid. What a find!

Thats the way i saw it, bending his knees as he sees it coming towards him (knowing he's vertically challenged) preparing to jump, speed of kick just to fast and an unfortunate mis-time, coupled with the ball only just at chickens own head height.

bozza after the epl last week and deco's goal
said the wall covers one side and the keeper the other
the exact scenario happened tonight
and Bozza was FUMING lol

Beckham or that young kid from Sydney last week just 'bend' it over and down the wall, so this just doesn't wash in my books.

The wall was poorly organized, chick shouldn't have been in the middle, rather on the end nearer the far post. Boog's was one out from the wall on his pat malone and with his height imo should have been in it.

I'm with Greenpole, Chicken had one of his best games for us tonite, unlucky not to score. I rate his creative and accurate passing/crosses over Hutcho's anyday, and his workrate is second to none (beats Clarkey in the beep tests) first there to congrat Dylsie after scoring, shows his up there to support in attack as well as defend. His confidence is growing week by week and with Elrich now looking to be gone for the season we'll be looking to him on the right flank and his pin-point crosses.

Matty Simon's goal, the hustle, the fight...wins it, the angle OMG! has to be on the list for HAL GOTYear. Dylsie or "D-MAC" (sounds enforcer like) is going to be a force this year, big..strong..yet very mobile. Interesting to see the number of goals scored this round by strikers 'pouncing' on defender errors and or bad balls out from the keepers

Even my missus reckons Sasho is playing much better this year and attributes it to 'just getting on with it' and not looking for the 'free' or wanting to talk to the ref about every passage of play.

Good turn out from the BAY16'ers, could hear them over FOX at times, shame we don't get to see them celebrating when we score though  :-\

First win, sitting 4th on the the ladder, ahead of the Scum on 6th, life's sweet for the week between now and the 4th round  ;).

I thought we were horrible for the first 15 mins or so, and was concerned that we would go down to the roar again ( they are a bit of a bogey team for us)

I agree with most summaries bar Hutch. I thought he was terrible again and thats 2 weeks in a row now. Mile held it together. his passing wasn't great but he has been out for a while. As for an injury I thought it was just cramps...
