Doesn't sound good for Elrich.

"The Mariners suffered a major blow in the 12th minute when Ahmad Elrich left the field with what was suspected to be a season-ending knee injury."

How did bozza play even though 2 goals against him.
One goal was IDENTICAL to the Sydney one that went over our wall, and Bozza was furious at the wall (seriously, they've gotta sort this out.  It's getting ridiculous now)
As so he should have been! Porter ducked his head out of the way. I couln't believe it...put you head on the ball for christ's sake. I thought Bozza was going to kill someone!!!

Apart from that well done boys great result. Pedj you are now my second faviourite Mariner after the almighty Jedi. It's not even funny how good this guy is... Best player in the A league by a country "Mile"

the wall was shocking, they hardly jumped at all - not bozzas fault at all, that aside a much improved performance and matty simon is improving, still needs a bit more strength but he is getting better at one on one challenges... dylans 2nd goal was a cracker and jedi, i felt the force from that kick all the way down here - well done

Yes - how furious was Bozza with the wall. Our guys know now they are dealing with a true professional at the back of the defence and they had better heed his ranting and raving or he might just eat them  :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

Great Win!!

Defence was superb and didn't stand off this time. Bojic was superb, set up two of the goals and was clearly MOM.  Boogs and Wilko look like a good combo and Boogs quality seamed to lift Wilko a notch.  Clarkey was excellent for the second week on the trott!!!!

Jedi made a huge difference to middle of the park. Simon's goal was a class finish and Macca looks a handful. Osman still looks off the pace for mine.

Great away win and credit to Lawrie.

Suck shit Reddy!!!

Porter actually ducked out of the way of the free kick hence bozza going of his head. Not his fault.

We have the best strike force in the A-League!

Tiatto should of been sent off in the first half for his tackle on Simon, simply a appalling tackle  and the man seriously needs an IQ check.

I was getting a tad sick of Jedinak's continuous long balls to nobody, distribution needs working on.

Bojic was my MOTM today, simply outstanding and good too see we have a quality left back as  (according to cockerill) Heffo has another crack in his leg and is back in plaster.

Great performance from all the mariners players and Liam Reddy today :)

We will win, take it to the bank. You heard it here 1st.

I told you so. I never doubted it all week or at any stage during the game.

Kendall was packed and so was sports bar & near the pokies. Time to throw the old time dancers out of the scenic lounge Charles.

Bozza - Nervous and looked like he pulled a muscle in the warm up. Nothing he could do with either goal. Lucky to escape a red too.

Clarkie - Awesome workrate, possibly his best game in a Mariners shirt??

Bojic - Better and better. We have found another gem

Boogs - Class act, great effort tonight

Wilko - Much better tonight

Porter - Best game for us by far, is a great prospect and as long as he learns to jump in the wall will be ok

Hutcho - Never seemed ot recover from that early knock. Did ok

Jedi - Simply awesome. Enough said

Ossie - I really rate him and thought he went ok tonight

Matty S - Brilliant, battered Moore for 60 mins. Great goal - MOM for me

Saso - Hardest I have ever seen him work tonight. Great effort

Dylan - Wow. Reddy made it a debut to remember, should have had 3

D'Appuzzo/Elrich. Not enough time to make an impact.

WTF happened with the wall, shocking !!!

referee wasn't too bad, pretty consistent

saho should of taken the shot or macca should of used his right foot !!!

good to see ossie play 80 minutes even though it was because of an injury

IMHO no real stand outs for the mariners, they all played pretty good

Was watching at home with a bad head cold - but I am feeling no pain atm.
Very strong at the back - how good was Bozza's settle influence.  :eek:verhead:

Matty Simon did not take a backward step to the likes of Craig Moore - maturing very nicely.  :pirashoot: :pirashoot:

Thank God for the week off to buy some time with our growing injury list.

What a different start to last week with Bozza in goal to direct the defence and push his outside backs up Pedj was the difference in the forwards today his passing was pin point for the goals.

Bozza has luck with him and no ref in Australia would have sent him off for his first game but that wont hold for long but he will need the week of after the injury he had.

We dont need the hard training a day before the game at this stage of the season look whats happening to much disruptions before the game day when you get injuries Cucera and Boza this week.

. their first was not as bad as it seems (particularly given the status of the match), first response was no reaction from the wall and good reason for bosnich going off. on the first replay you could see porter ducking which looks really embarrassing and justifies the bozza tirade even more. the next replay however shows porter bobbing back up - it seems that he is dipping to jump and head the ball but mistimed it. it looks like he didn't actually need to do either and could have taken it straight on the forehead.

. i thought everybody played pretty well tonight with special mention for pedj, he has been fantastic for us

. the only real complains: two pretty soft goals, a few missed opportunities (porter, hutch & sash/dylan missed excellent chances) and i think jedi's passing was pretty awful

. the goals ..... oohhhh, the goals
- matty was brilliant, most people would have given him no chance of finishing that one last year from a very tough angle
- jedi's was a screamer, shame reddy couldn't get anywhere near it 'cause that would've hurt
- dylan's first, well it should never of happened - but showed good instinct to go straight for goal
- and his second was a very classy finish

i think..

bozza after the epl last week and deco's goal
said the wall covers one side and the keeper the other
the exact scenario happened tonight

Regardless if "Vudoka" is Dukes, the comparison is almost as stupid as the spelling.
Totally different players, in all aspects. Why don't we start comparing Wilko to Ashley Cole FFS?

Sometimes I question peoples knowledge, though I suppose all you gotta do is mention Kewell and Dukes and you can pass.. apparently ;)

I agree with most of that, but I thought Porter was the weekest link today. Also, I thought Bosnich looked a little uncomfortable as though the injury was bothering him a bit.

Also, I love how Matty pwned Tiatto :pirashoot:

Maybe he was referring him to dukes as in future aussie striker and captain
lol
