We were awful against a very poor side.

Maybe 3 or 4 aleague standard players right now and a coaching staff who are massively out if their depth.

A complete overhaul to be mid table at best is required in the off season.

Time to stop kidding ourselves and deal with reality

We were always going to be struggling with such a young, inexperienced side. It's difficult to watch but i really think we are unearthing some really good young talent. TW can only do his best with what is available and i can't see that any other coach would be doing better with the current squad. If this is one ugly season we have to have in order to see us in a good position for the next few seasons then i'm ok with that. There's a core of youngsters that have big potential. For me these guys are nearly A league standard players already - Izzo, Ascroft,Uskok, Liam Rose, McGing, Bingham, Micky Neill. There are also half a dozen who should be but need a while longer such as Trent,Berry, Fletcher, Jamba,Howard belle etc. The problem this year is that we have had to play too many players who for no fault of their own are still learning to play at this level. I'm not yet in the TW out camp, i'd like to see what he can do with a decent squad which would need an addition of 3 or 4 quality players.

Don't believe we need a complete overhaul. We have great young players and need to continue developing them. They make up 75 % of our squad and are the reason we are struggling but they will not be that age forever. What we need is 3 or 4 quality signings in the off season and we will make the finals next season. If 4 or 5 of the young players make big strides then we could surprise a few people. Liam Rose has really improved over the last 5 or 6 games and for me is becoming our best player. I can also see Ascroft,Uskok,Izzo and Micky Neill become great players. I'm keeping the faith.

That was a bit ordinary wasn't it....I think it was once again a case of no fangs near the opposing keeper, no one barely shot at goal , they kept looking for another player to pass to for the goal...and then there was Bingaz who had his back to Brighitti for about 87 mins, his much better when his barrelling towards the goal (tactical f**kup)....Budgie, Mitch and Luis had moments, just not many of them.....
you can tell we have squad issues when a Liverpool legend get subbed for a guy whose had about 13 minutes in the A league total....anyway the year now stands at 3-3-15 and we got six games to go including Mexico, smurfs and glory....yep, roll on 2016/17

That's a bit harsh - for mine one of the points we've been doing better on this season, is actually scoring goals... We haven't had a lot of clean sheet... Well we haven't had any but... We also haven't played a lot of games where the opposition had clean sheets.
The lack of shots on goal yesterday, had more to do with the ball always going high or wide, than it did with an actual lack of trying I think... It's not that they didn't get into position or get the ball there, "just" that every attempt at goal was a shocker. By rights, Trent should have scored at least twice, Austin much the same off the top of my head.
On top of that, Mitch's crossing was waaaayyyyy off.... Noone was 100% yesterday I think.

Usok must start every game from now on. He is a beast and has the potential to be another Ogmonster.
Agree FFC, it is something we badly need. Has a bit of mongrel in him which we are lacking. I would also start young Rose and Micky Neill at LB every game now.

With 50k a week on Garcia we could have had our backbone ,not to mention an open cheque book for Wilko, who realized it's not just about the money for the reason he plays the game.
Really who would want to play in our team with our coach with the way where playing at the moment .Cacc Fitzy Reddy even Bosna it's not coincidental they were happy to see bench time for the sake of someone able to lead them forward . No doubt that our team played with heart yesterday but they had no execution.

2 contradictive points in the same sentence. o_O No matter how much of Garcia's money we offered Wilko, as you stated he chose football over cash.

 Wasn't that just one of the factors 'that they were benched' was the reason for their unhappiness and ultimately wanting out of the club.

Who was the someone?

Buhagiar will be awesome for us in coming seasons. Has the foundation to be a Mariners legend in time

That said this game I think we'd have scored by now if Ferreira was on the field

So far so good
Had good positioning which was good. Also was looking for flick ons or sat back stick waiting for a ball to pop through.

Physically long way to go. Was not even bullied just brushed off. Fab definitely would have at least forced a couple of saves.

Good effort. Would like to see more as I wasn't convinced at all but saw some good potential that may as well be given a go.

Also not used to the class of Garcia. He put a ball through that Trent not used to seeing and got himself in a twisted mess trying to follow it through the air, just trust it will be there and your through.

Izzo has been fantastic so far apart from one distribution error. I hope he can keep it up.

He is a decent shot stopper but free kicks and crosses not so much.

Distribution still poor but was better, put less straight over sideline.

The Nordstrom save was a real good one. That ball dipped and swerved but was a little lucky it was right at him. Still his timing was good to stop it.

No free kicks in range no goals. With Izzo in goals you can't foul within 30m of our goal.

I found some positives ... having said that we need two or three senior players to complement the kids.

In Uskok we have found IMO an excellent central defender and on todays display he would be one of the first players I choose...
Thought he was real good today. He and Rosey got skinned a couple of times by through balls through the middle but was very impressive.

A few bad distribution mistakes but was having a go.

Was up for the fight and paired with Posco would give us an aggressive pairing. Was prepared to go in to the melee which some of the lads haven't been keen enough in the past.

Considering the lack of game time he did very well

Sucks to loose but seeing the boys drop to the ground after the final whistle was great.

They showed heart desire and effort. Might not have had the skills to get reward but we pinned them in that second half. They had a crack and that's been missing.

Asked him what his real job is.

Was definitely decent. Don't know what but you don't get a card like that without saying something, especially to Williams
I heard on another forum that he did the ol' miming of the card...didn't see it, but if that's so, I remember it used to be a mandatory card but hasn't been for ages. If that was the card then obvious that's an instruction come from above...but I think there are far bigger problems even with dissent than this. It isn't even the most 'visual' form of dissent you see any more.....

No shots on target. that's a thoroughly embarrassing statistic.
