He made a couple of good saves against MCY, one really good one where he almost got chipped but tipped it over the bar. But he also isn't great at holding onto the ball, a lot of balls were fumbled right out in front of him. Against a team like MV who are likely to just follow those shots in, we'll keep conceding.

It's frustrating. But seeing as how this season is a write off I would like to see Bray show his wares for better or worse.

In the one look I had I liked his confidence.

This time I'm going to agree with you. I'd rather see HB develop than Izzo. Izzo just hasn't improved, keeps making the same basic errors. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I figure this season should be spent developing one of our younger keepers. There's absolutely nothing to lose, so why not?

We've shown we have the quality up front when needed, but our execution and defence is poor and that's what ends up leaking goals by the truckload.

I think we're 1 short of conceding 50 this season and we've kept no clean sheets. Hopefully we can change that this Sunday.

Predicted lineup? Let's assume TW won't bench Izzo and avoid the stress of complaining about it...

Injured: Roux, McGing
Suspended: Roy, Posco, Fabio

Mine:
Izzo
McDonald Uskok Ascroft JRose
LRose Monty Neill
Garcia
Fletcher/Trent Bingham Austin

Subs Bray Berry Jamba Stella Trent/Fletcher

Honestly I have no idea what to make of our side and have no problem being told so lol

. do you think having twelve on the pitch will help?

Lemme try again :D

And again, this is predicted, not pipedream from my perspective.

Izzo
McDonald McGing Ascroft JRose
LRose Monty Neill
Garcia
Bingham Austin

Subs Bray Berry Uskok Stella Buhagiar

Id think

Bray
McDonald McGing Ascroft JRose (Jamba if Mcging still injured)
LRose Monty Neil
Bingers #ThatBoyTrent Austin (possibly Bingers in the middle)

Garcia on at HT/60

#ThatBoyTrent running at Boogard will hopefully ensure 2 yellows for him and force them to sit very deep creating space

Might just as well make it ten on the pitch at the start.:(

Regarding the number of goals we've conceded this season. I seem to recall that Reddy made more saves last season than any other in the A League. It's a shame he isn't still with us.
Let's face it he was always a loose canon and it was only a matter of time before he did
something to upset the hierarchy but if he'd have stayed he could have become goalkeeping
coach when he packed in.

He might have made more saves but he also let plenty of goals in too. Not as many as Izzo - but far more than an experienced keeper like him should be shipping.

LOL, noticed that yesterday but refrained from bagging Timmah ;) out.

18 on the team sheet. Start with 12 on the pitch.

Even if we did that each week, still dont think it would've gotten us off the bottom of the ladder :(

it makes you wonder what Nash is doing at training with him, surely the goal keeping coach must of picked up on the horrible wall building going on, and if he has, what does that say about the GK coaching?

No disrespect to him as a person, Nash may very well be a great bloke ...... BUT he was NEVER good enough to be a No.1 Keeper at ANY club in the A-League.

Started with SydFC in the 2007-08 season & finished up with us in the 2014-15 season.

In regards to his career in the HAL, spaning 8 years of activity at numerous clubs, he only ever managed a Grand Total Of 16 A-League appearances !

The break-down of which looks worse imo:

2007 Sydney FC 1 (0)
2008/10 CC Mariners 0 (0)
2008 Adelaide Unt'd (loan) 0 (0)

2010/12 Newcastle Jets 8 (0)
2012/13 Newcastle Jets 5 (0)
2012/13 Sydney FC 0(0)

2014/15 CC Mariners 2 (0)

In between the A-League clubs he was at State League Clubs in NSW.

Again no disrespect to him as a person, BUT we get what we pay for. :-|

To be fair his playing record is no indication of his coaching ability.

Agree,Izzo doesn't seem to be learning but that might be him.

In fact, a huge reshuffle is on the cards with defender Jacob Poscoliero suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, while injured utility Jake McGing (gluteus) is expected to miss out again.

Then there's Fabio Ferreira, who was sent off against City and thus faces a mandatory one-match ban, and fellow winger Mitch Austin, who is thought to be in some doubt after coming off with what appeared to be a groin or thigh strain.

442 narrow diamond anyone?

If Austin is actually injured is he related to the Mrdja family? Absolute sicknote

"I know whatever team he's going to put out on Saturday is going to be fired up.

Monty's going to turn up on the wrong day. Someone phone him and tell him it's Sunday.
