ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I ran into an ardent fan yesterday.
He has been a member for over 8years & travels to away games etc.
When I asked him if he`d renewed yet he surprised me by saying "he wasn`t sure if he & his mates were going around again"
When I quizzed him why one of his main stumbling blocks was the lack of spending on new players.
I realize we aren`t the richest club but I`m wondering how many others will hold back on memberships to see how we go pre-season?

Surely it won`t be as grim as it was last year.:tinfoilhat:
I think a few may be acting that way, could be why we don't have an update on member numbers.
It's a shame because they finally commit to the coast but it could be to late, is the damage done?
Very important for the team to perform this year to repair the damage. I don't mean win just play hard and give us a team we are proud of. There were to many head dropping effortless moments last season.

We will play with heart and guts this season. Not sure if we have the cattle to challenge for honours but we won't be easy beats. If the new boys fire we could be a handful.
If you are a Coastie and you can't be bothered then you need to have a good look at yourself.
COYY.

Totally agree Wombat. If anyone i know says they aren't renewing for reasons other than financial, i will be telling them to get in and support the team.

Our figures are surprisingly good, esp. when you compare to the metropolitan clubs of Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. (I believe that the Jets number is only new memberships).

Yeah jets auto renewal wasn't starting for another couple of days according to 442.

Do you think we should be doing auto renewals? A few of the other clubs seem to. Not sure if there monthly payments are over 12 months or similar to ours?

Any idea when we get our memberships through the mail?
Also I went to register my kids in the holiday clinics. Firstly it says check your email for your 10% discount. I can't find the code. Secondly when I went through to confirm without the discount it said it was at Gosford not Tuggerah as stated. Help please if anyone knows.

Being serious though I thought I saw August some where but I ignored that as unrealistic

I spoke to the guy who has taken over memberships at our FFA cup game. He said there would be no more pick ups form the tent, that everyone would receive them much earlier this year - why I assume the earlier renewal deadlines. I think he may have even told me when exactly, but well before first game was all needed to hear. Seemed really on the ball, so after last years debacle I'm actually thinking it will be smooth sailing this year.

Have also spoken to him but unfortunately for the usual Mariners problems. Although seems a nice bloke and reckons the problem is the system supplier and not the Mariners themselves.
Either way reconciliation still hasn't occurred 2 weeks later, although suppose to be fixed in next day or two.

I also ask members check your payments especially if on the payment schedule. My problems occurred when renewing over the phone the day before the discount deadline. They didn't put the payment through. Now have taken to much while trying to process now.
Just check everything is working for you.

Maybe THIS is where your money, as well as Maty Ryan's transfer fee went!

And this is the guy who's responsible for it!

SYD 78%
PER 68%
NEW 65%

Sorry, I don't believe that description. I reckon it's a straight %age of members @ 31/8/15 (3,434) over 2014/15 total memberships (6,242). How would a journo know how many so far are returning members versus others? For each club? Must know an insider in each club :-|

Ahh, here's the evidence. Run your calculator over the membership numbers. http://www.fromthestandsal.com/membership-tracker/

Interesting figures anyway. :)

The percentages I posted are a near perfect match to the figures in
http://www.fromthestandsal.com/membership-tracker/

As to them ALL being 'members' from last year renewing this year? ........yeah I doubt it. Prob just a lazy tweet.

The journo is Vic Rugari from

2 other guys from there John Stensholt & Shaun Mooney are about to release a book about the first 10 years of the A-League:
http://www.ccmfans.net/community/threads/a-league-the-inside-story-a-ten-year-history.5738/

To write a book like that you'd have to have some insider info ;)
