ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That's what the 3-6 games are for - People who don't want a full membership or can make limited games or only want the good games. I was thinking of getting this type of membership. You want to go to the big games & club gets your money & details easy.

I understand & don't have a complaint Re: freebie for derbies but It would be a good chance to get people to come who normally wouldn't. I presume the members that get someone to come with them on there spare aren't big football fans but would go if there mate takes them. They might go to the derby & then say I'll come next week or to the next derby with there family/mates etc. if have a good time. Converting a freebie into a paying customer.

Would we rather have more CCM fans at derbies or especially Rd 1 or full paying derby fans from the other team?

I think in the push for membership & a full house of mainly CCM fans they probably should have made the Rd 1 WSW game eligible for the bring a friend. Then the club has the rest of the season to convert them pester them etc.

Let the 3 and 6 game memberships apply to all games. I'd prefer that someone willing to stump up $60 or $100 at the start of the season (and therefore help the club more directly) be able to attend the match rather than those people potentially missing out to other less committed fans that don't buy a membership e.g. a Wanderers fan ***shudder***.

It would be a different story if we were filling the stadium with members, but we can only dream of that.

. don't get me wrong ... i agree (especially about a stadium full of members)

. but i don't want those seats sitting empty when they could have been sold just because the person with a 3/6 seat membership won't be attending 'that' game

Could be remedied by pre-selecting games prior to the match, or different types of memberships, like a "Premium" 3/6 game membership that gives you access to derbies only.

Sounds like we might just crack 5,000 before season's start. Great stuff.[/quot

Hopefully there will be a late surge as well. Once the A league starts getting the pre season media attention. I guess as well the 3 and 6 game memberships are an ongoing thing. Would make great Xmas presents! To be honest i didn't think we would crack 5000, i thought 4,500 would have been an acheivement. Bloody awesome!

just concession, it covers students. Still the same for this season. I asked the admins of the facebook page, they verified that the concession membership is for uni students. BUT the low price "Student" membership is for high school students. It is $90 for a YA one IIRC.

The student option didn't exist in 2012/2013.

Correct :)

Last year we understood the jump from Junior (or free, if you were a Mariners Mate) to Adult or Concession was quite big, so we decided to bring in the Student Membership option to help lessen the financial burden. These Student Memberships for are anyone aged 16-18 who are still in high school. Concession is for those who are a Full Time Uni student, or receiving a Concession Payment from Centrelink.

If someone (like my maniacal younger brother) is *finishing* high school this November, are they eligible for the student one or do they need to get the concession one?

The kids got their memberships but mine hasn't arrived as yet.

I know things are tight at CCM but you would have thought they could have sent a lanyard with the memberships or maybe a length of string!

That's strange - mine came with the lanyard in the pack with the car sticker and fridge magnet.
