ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

2013/2014 memberships

Does anyone know/remember if 2012/2013 had a membership option for students?
Or was it just concession?

I bought membership for my 17 year old sister (year 11 student) for $170 (I just found the receipt in my email).

just concession, it covers students. Still the same for this season. I asked the admins of the facebook page, they verified that the concession membership is for uni students. BUT the low price "Student" membership is for high school students. It is $90 for a YA one IIRC.

The student option didn't exist in 2012/2013.

A few blokes are chucking wobblies because the Bring a Friend For Free vouchers don't cover NSW derbies. A bit slack but at the same time, like, mates, that still leaves top match-ups against Adelaidalona and Ange's Victory and those Brisbane wankers.

Can't see an issue with this....these are games that have the potential to either sell out or get close to it. If this helps the financial situation of the club then that is ok with me and there are plenty more games to use these up on. :)

This about sums it up for me, from one Andrew Thurbin:

I cant believe that the club are standing in the way of peoples apathy and desire to get into top quality games for free? How dare they. Its an outrage that whingeing coasties arent showered with free tickets. In fact, if the club was really serious, they would drive round and pick people up so that they could even travel for free.

. i think they could have gone further and banned 3 and 6 game members from attending these games as well ... but as it stands it is a cheap option for the part-time fan to see all the 'big-atmosphere' games

This will be introduced in time, the club will no doubt carefully monitor this years local darbies and make decisions on limited game memberships and free voucher offers for next season.
I for one am all for it, sell what you can and put coin in the coffers.

I'll only use mine on NYE, which isn't premium, so no worries for me. Like others have said, no problems with reserving big crowd matches for paying customers.

Yep not such a good idea as some fans buy the 3 - 6 options as that's the number of games they attend through other commitments like work etc.,

Neither do I. Perfectly reasonable.
Noting also that they did allow a members presale for Rd 1 vs. WSW to ensure your mates get in.

I also have no problems with the new requirement for name, email, etc of the voucher's recipient. This way at least the club gets a targeted marketing opportunity in return for stumping up a ticket.

I don't understand the other new pain-in-the-arse condition that the voucher must be presented fro a ticket prior to 2pm on match days.

The 2pm thing is a bit dodge, what if a bloke has to work the day of a game? I'm a nurse, my morning shift don't end until 3:30pm, and I don't live on the Coast so it aint easy for me just to rock up to the Bluetongue ticket outlet. Unless it is possible to redeem the tickets before matchday at other Ticketek outlets?

. do the ticket staff enter the details in their database? that would certainly slow things down - so you wouldn't want that just before kick-off

. also with larger member numbers (and fewer games to use them) there is more potential for the ticket office to become congested

. in the past i have done it days or weeks in advance to avoid any hassle on match day ... but that is obviously still an issue if you are not on the coast / local

. may i suggest you contact the club with your query ... perhaps point out that apparently 20% of our members live on the south shore and they would all be similarly effected

Not a good idea to suggest that you can buy 3 or 6 game membership but that the club determines what games you can use them at!!

. aha ... and fair enough

. but i can see it happening - the intermediate step is a 'premium-part-time-fan pack' where for a slight premium you get tickets to the 'premium' matches (only?)

. as it stands ... worst case scenario is we have thousands of 3/6 game members who don't front up to these games and the seats remain vacant when they could have been sold
