ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

What Curious said. Debates are never thrilling affairs. Try Q&A, Lateline, 7.30 Report or an interview with Laurie Oakes if you want theatre and some real cutting questions. Sunday night was a safe, staged performance by both.

I must say I love some of the commentariat calling it a win based on the fact that he didn't screw it up. I just love it - he restrained his obvious need to punch Gillard in the face so therefore he wins. I wish the bar could be set so low for me at work...

Meanwhile, they say Abbott has a problem with women - I don't see it.

He may not have a problem with women ---- women have a problem with Tony Abbott, I know I do.

have a problem with women or do they have a problem with you? ;-)

Who? Women, Tony Abbott, or any hypocritical budgie-smuggling (that in itself is a gaoling offence) two-faced MP who is the sporn of John Howard?

Addition: Tony Abbott also makes my skin crawl!

Christ on a f**king bike - Coalition now leads 52-48 in the latest Nielsen poll. Will need more polls to confirm that's where the electorate's at or show it's a statistical outlier. All the same, that'll put a few shivers through the ALP nerve centre!

For perspective - Roy Morgan had the ALP ahead 53-47 in a phone poll, ALP ahead 54-46 in a face-to-face poll released yesterday. Galaxy reported 50-50 and Newspoll reported ALP ahead 52-48.

They can't all be right, obviously.

With a very unpopular leader in Abbott and little substance other than a bigoted immigration policy, that there's even a hint the Coalition can get even close to what was a few months ago a very popular government, is a sorry state of affairs for the ALP. For the Coalition to be in with a chance to defeat the ALP must surely be a script borrowed from a Faulty Towers comedy skit.

I'm beginning to believe Gillard's extremely well rehearsed public persona is wearing very thin with weeks still to go. It certainly can't be an increase in the popularity of Tony Terrific.

Sorta like Dumb or Dumber.....

You make an excellent point but ...if you said  TA for PM six months ago you would have been locked up in the loony bin...

Also I wonder aloud why Kevin 07, ate the cake she send him yesterday...

We're getting what we deserve tbh.

We had a decent government in the Howard/Costello years imo and we got shot of them on the back of a million promises of which about one was kept.

Now look what we have to choose between  ???

Sorry arab, i'd remove a testicle with a tin can lid before voting for a bigoted, God fearing, right wing conservative government, & it seems I'll be doing the same in the coming election before voting for a party with a moderate left wing facade and right wing policies.

Maybe they are, maybe they're not......whatever happens there will still be plenty of immigrants coming to this country.

It's just a shame that the 'boat people' thing is allowed to be blown out of proportion and become a vote decider when imo there are a hell of a lot of more important issues the voter should be thinking about regardless of who you end up voting for.

Both partys play us for mugs and to a large extent we probably are.
