Matchday 26: we are playing Koblenz at home.
Will be a difficult match but I am very confident that we will win it.

as the weather is superb the expected crowd for tonight is around 30,000 :)

Koblenz are currently in the middle of nowhere (regarding the ladder), if we win will be just 1 point behind spot 3 - at least till sunday when the other teams play

Do you think there's any chance of Vidosic starting?

not sure as Vidosic said that he isn't back at full strength yet. I hope that he gets the chance but as 2 players who were injured at the last match, are back, it will be tough for him...

I hope that he will at least play tonight as dru is watching the match too :)

34,000 people, really good weather, boring match, 1 injured, 2:0 goals twice Mintal

that's how you can sum up the match...

the injured player is our captain who just came back after cruciate ligament rupture. it is likely that he has the same injury again on the same knee...there's hope that it isn't that worse...but his season might be over :(

the next match is next Thursday, Holy Thursday, when we are playing Oberhausen away

he's got a meniscus injury but it isn't exactly sure what it is. he will undergo a surgery tomorrow.
the worst scenario is that he will miss a couple of month, the best scenario is that he will be back in 4 weeks...

4th win in a row - 10:0 goals within these 4 games - 3rd away win this season

played Oberhausen away yesterday and won 3:0, Mintal, Kluge and Eigler scored the goals

we are now 3rd, as Frth has lost at home, and will keep this spot at least till the next matchday
Mainz is playing Freiburg, it's the 2nd vs the 1st, on Monday, but currently we are  just 3 points away from spot 1

it's going to be an interesting rest of the season, everything is possible for us :)

This is quite off topic now:

According to a local newspaper, Adelaide player Fabian Barbiero is on trial with our local rival Greuther Fuerth.

can you tell anything about him? is he a good player? what positions can he play? and so on...

Matchday 28, we are playing St. Pauli at home.

we can achieve our 5th win in a row and become 2nd in the league as Mainz has just drawed yesterday

the chances are good that we might win as St. Pauli misses 8 players due to injury or suspension. we, on the other side, are nearly back at full strenght

good news on Matthew Sipranovic: he is back in full training with the team :)

5 in a row, with 12:0 goals...won 2:0 today, again it was Mintal who scored (the 2:0 this time)

haven't been to the match but from I was told, we could be very lucky that we didn't concede 1 or 2 goals in the 1st half. our striker Boakye got a straight red at the beginning of the 2nd half and will be suspended for a couple of matches; Eger, from St. Pauli, was sent off in the same minute as well

we are playing FSV Frankfurt away next Sunday, this is going to be a tough match as Frankfurt still fight getting relegated and have won all 5 home matches they had in 2009...

as Boakye is missing next weekend, Vidosic might be one of the starting XI :)

the table looks lovely too - now into second place, a return to the first league is there for the taking.

to stay 2nd in the league we need a win today as Fuerth has won on Friday and is now 1 point ahead...

We are playing FSV Frankfurt away to Frankfurt in the CommerzbankArena. 15,000 Nuernberg supporters are expected going to Frankfurt today.

for Frankfurt, this match is a revenge for the lost final for the German championship 82 years ago...Nuernberg won this match 1:0

today was a day to forget...

our bus broke down on our way to Frankfurt so that we had to wait for an other bus to come. as a result we missed the first 10mins of the match

honestly, I was horrified of our performance. we scored the 1:0 but conceeded the draw right before half time after a corner. in the 2nd half Frankfurt scored the 2:1....

Mintal got a straight red card in stoppage time as he insulted the linesman...

we are now 4th with 2 pints behind spot 3...

have to play Ingolstadt at home next Sunday...

i was following a live ticker while watching the bahrain grand prix and when eigler scored i thought it would be business as usual. unfortunately it didn't work out that way...

there are still games to go, one bad weekend doesn't end a season.

5 more matches to play...

we are playing Ingolstadt at home tomorrow afternoon (2pm CET)

this is going to be a tough match as we miss 4 important players due to suspensions or injuries. as we lost last week and everyone else in the upper part of the table won, we need to win tomorrow to keep the chance of gaining back spot 2 alive

the ladder looks like this

1. Freiburg 58 points
2. Mainz 51 points
3. Fuerth 51 points
4. Nuernberg 49 points
5. Kaiserslautern 49 points

Kaiserslautern already played yesterday but they lost 5:1 away to Rostock so they'll stay at 49 points
it is important for us to win to keep the 2 points difference to Fuerth (if they win as well) was we are playing them next week away...

when we played Ingolstadt the last time (in November) the situation was quite the same as it is now - a lot of injured players, no good performances - but this match was the turning point: we won 3:0...so here's hope that we might be successful again :)

2 players, our goalkeeper Schfer and defender Pinola have to pay attention as they have 4 and 9 yellow cards so far, so one more for each and both will be suspended for 1 match. if they get the card tomorrow we might miss 6 players in the derby then...
