Midfielders Ioannis Masmanidis and Mario Breska who both joined Nuremberg just 6 months ago are about to leave to Cyprus. These transfers aren't fixed so far.

Ioannis Masmanidis is transferred to Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. This club is coached by Thomas von Heesen who was coach in Nuremberg from February til August last year.
I am glad that he is leaving as hasn't done anything for Nuremberg within the 6months he has been with us.

What about Charisteas to West Brom? Would be fantastic for der Club if it came off, and baffling from West Brom...

Midfielder Dario Vidosic and striker Chhunly Pagenburg should leave on loan to get more match time than they would get here in Nuremberg.
Don't know if these transfers will happen.

What's the opinion of Chhunly around the club, Sandra? Is he going to develop into a first team player?

How would he go in the A-League as a striker/winger?

Dario Vidosic is going to the Danish club Esbjerg fB on loan for the rest of the season.
This was in a serious newpaper yesterday but strangely nothing is confirmed by the club so far...

Some officials from Westbromich watched Charisteas at a trial match in Turkey against the Dutch team of Heerenveen.
But according to a paper today, it is now Fulham which want to sign Charisteas.
I personally think that he might join Fulham as they are on a better spot in the league and will like pay more than Westbromich.

Well, that is a difficult issue with Chhunly.
He was on the bench regularly in 2006/2007 but then went to 1860 on a loan basis where he should play regularly. Due to a condition in that loan contract we had to take him back as we relegated last season.
He neither played nor has been on the bench that often and hasn't played for the reserves at all this season.

He is able to play as a striker and as a right winger (?).

I don't know if he would go in the A-League...

Well, at this moment he is still with Nrnberg... but I really really hope that they sign him...

And the club hasn't confirmed anything regarding Vidosic so far...

According to a paper Vidosic will go to Esbjerg/Denmark for the rest of the season on a loan basis. The Danish side has an option to purchase him after that season

Do you think the club want to get rid of him and what is your opinion of him as a player, happy?

I think the problem is that he didn't get any match time with Nrnberg as we have that many midfielders. What makes me think about his situation is that he neither played for the Bundesliga team nor for the reserves when he wasn't in the squad for the Bundesliga.

He came in at the match against Frth in November and did a very good job, but he wasn't even considered for the next match...I thin khe is a good player and could really contribute to the team and the performance if he would have got more match time with Nrnberg.

I think it is good for him to get some match time on a loan basis. What makes me perplex is that the Danish side has got a first purchase option...

Maybe the club is happy to let him go. Personally I think he went too early from the HAL. He's got heaps of potential but should have stayed a couple of more years to develop more. Like many of our boys, he went too young with not enough first team experience.

As I'm sure you know full well. our coaches are way behind the Europeans in terms of junior development, tactically and technically and without sufficient senior team game time, they will struggle in big leagues like yours.

The 2nd leg of the season starts today after a 43 days long winter break.

We are playing Augsburg away with around 10k Nrnberg supporters travelling down (including myself).
There will be no chances in the squad compared to the last match in December.

Charisteas is still with Nrnberg and I doubt that he will move during this transfer window.
Vidosic is also still with us as the directors of Esbjerg don't want to pay the amount of money Nrnberg wants to have. So it is likely that he will stay with us this season.

A win today would be very good as we would overtake Ausgburg in the ladder.

Just came back from the away trip to Augsburg. Nearly 11k Nrnberg supporters made their way down there.
It was a lousy match with a lousy 0:0 as the result. Was very boring and not really entertaining.

Their stadium is very old and they don't even have a screen there.

The match wasn't nice to look at as it was f***ing cold there.
It is time that spring comes...

Does anyone of you have any questions for Matthew Spiranovic or Dario Vidosic?
I will happily ask them then on Wednesday when having the dinner with the team.

Awesome news on the last day of the transfer window:

Angelos Charisteas joins Bayer Leverkusen for the rest of the season on a loan basis.  :eek:verhead: :eek:verhead:

Mario Breska also goes on loan to a club on Cyprus, also till the end of the season.

Albert Bunkaju, a striker, joins us.
