ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 20 - Sydney FC [H]

Thought Staj got his tactics 100% spot on but was let down by his players - Miller had a shocker and gifted the 1st goal. DDS, Silvera and Oar showed why they need to be shown the door ASAP. The stories about SS attitude seems to be reflected in how he plays - off to a NSWPL2 club near you soon
Tongyik wasnt shit and fair play to Clisby, he went alright.

Mate you lasted 1 more than me - never again until that c**t goes
I said before this would be the last CCM home game I pay to attend until there’s a clear improvement in recruitment/ results.

I stand by that call. Charlesworth out.

Email the club, let them know. Feedback will get onto the higher levels.
It won't get rid of Scrooge, but it still sends the club a statement.

Sadly it wont - theyir corporate culture is positive up the line all the time. Anything that doesnt fit their "improvement" narrative is quietly squashed. They keep their jobs by telling MC how wonderful everything is - listen to Anton on the pod. Deluded doesnt begin to cover it

Statement:
Nothing is going to change next year or the year after. MC isn't going to lift the investment in the club because he is looking to sell to somebody who will relocate the club - so why send good money into something that he's getting rid of within the next few years?

I don't have any evidence, for this, but it's a conclusion I've just come to.

Am I crazy, or have I stumbled across his grand plan?

Didn't know that culture existed. Thanks for that.
As for Anton - no matter what the feedback is, if you're in leadership and you think our results and performance are positive, then you should have nothing to do with the club.
No matter how filtered the information is, he watches games and can see for himself. I mean, he said himself he doesn't have the foggiest idea what's wrong but it's all good because we're competitive. Oh, we're just inconsistent.
No you gormless idiot. We're the most f**king consistent team in the league. No other team is as f**king consistent as us week to week, month to month, season to season, spoon to f**king spoon.
He's a fantastic match for MC.

Not much I can say really... if we don’t make our own entertainment at the football what can we do?

also, what was the go with the Sydney Casuals coming in the bay? Bit odd seeing as no one has opened their mouth to them. Big thanks to the lads who made us aware of their presence.
YA or CC we do look out for eachother.

Respect lads.

Question is would the FFA let the club be relocated? They realise regional sides are the future, and if they allow the most successful regional team in the HAL to be moved somewhere else then that sends a message to potential fans/ backers of other expansion sides that there’s no point investing in new clubs because the FFA are one negligent owner away from turfing you.

Independent league. MC will just have to get the other clubs to agree.
And i hate to say it but the worse we are , the better proposition that becomes.
The other club owners know it's important to have CCM in the league - to have a successful regional club.
The worse this club is, though, the harder it is to hold onto that belief.
Perhaps MC wants to club to become so untenable that even those who support CCM staying start to believe that a league with no CCM but with, say, Canberra, is better than a league with CCM.
After another couple of spoons we're going to be making the entire league look bad - and if the only option is to allow a relocation, or to have the club continue under MC....well, the worse we are, the easier that decision becomes.

Something going on in the dressing room with Silvera, the players won't pass to him and seem to have no respect for him.

Tongyik played well I thought and although everyone is ragging on DDS he worked pretty hard tonight.

Kim was very good again and Stensness worked his ass off.

I thought we were a bit unlucky to be down by 1 for most of that game and deserved a point until we shit the bed in true mariners fashion and those negative feelings came right back.

We still have huge issues with scoring and no one looked like they wanted to shoot. There were a few times on the break that the keeper positioning wasn’t great and I thought the long shot was on.

Subs were ineffective unfortunately. SS lacked his usual flair and without that why bother playing him? Waste of a sub. Oar did some stuff I guess but overall meh. Simon didn’t really make his mark either.

Can’t say the players don’t try.
And can see the style they are going for, but it’s failed again.

We are playing it out pretty nicely most the time but that front third getting stuck around the 18 yard box seems very familiar

Lacking the spark and confidence still.

You look at the bench and think we had an advantage with quality.

Their subs score two goals and ours were ineffective. The difference in the match.
