ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I forgot to mention I'm also making a whole new section dedicated to Matty Simon. Just giving the public what it wants.

Isn't that a bit like giving your wife a belt sander that she "always wanted" for her birthday?

All of it. Whoever wrote it can go f**k themselves. Nobody rates us, we don't care.
"The main supporter base of the Central Coast Mariners is called the Marinators" - Not true?

"The Marinators are an obvious presence at home games played at Bluetongue Central Coast Stadium" - Not true?

"primarily from Bay 16" - Not true?

"Standard chants include the Yellow Submarine-inspired "We all follow a yellow football team", a reference to the colour of the team's kit." - Not true?

"Their chants and visual displays are often LIKENED to that of a school swimming carnival." - Not true?

"Reports have been confirmed by officials that numbers are gradually getting smaller" - not true?

"became particularly visible through selling Marinators shirts during the lead up to the inaugural A-League season. They now have their own scarves and a large promotional pull-over jersey" -Not true?

"The Marinators have been outdone in both visual, and aural displays at home by away supporter groups" - Not true?

Surely ALL of it isnt crap?

p.s surely if people didnt care there wouldnt be a thread on it??

you conveniently pick out sentences in that article that are true or semi-true and use that as a basis of argument to say the whole article is true despite there being of nonsense written

Incorrect, i picked out those parts as a direct response to bex saying it was "all" crap. I thought that it was made clear when i wrote "Surely ALL of it isnt crap?".

At no point did i state whether i thought the article was true or not.

I'm too busy to get into slanging matches. If I was too hasty, my bad, but geez some of what Keensy says MAKES you interpret that he isn't 100% into it.

Yes, we need to improve, of course we do. But in a positive, constructive way without blaming whoever, whatever section of the stadium for not being loud enough etc.

The poor palm trees will cop it next.  :pirashoot:  :D

I'm not saying that just because you don't stand in the bay that you are not 100% into it. That's silly and makes it sound like 95% of the stadium isn't into it. You are alway stirring the pot.

I found it quite amusing and agree mostly with what Keensy is saying. My reason for raising it was that, although I am not a Bay16er (was more back of Bay15 with Greenpole and Sacko), I know a few of them and they are good blokes and some people have gone to some trouble to put together the info on CCM, so thought I would raise what I had found and give people the chance to correct it.

The differences between 5th and 6th Sept versions can be found here:

From what I can see, Keensy just appears to take the side that will aggravate the most people.

On a separate note, why is it considered constructive by some on this forum (evidence of which is above but also spread throughout the forum) to be continually negative about the Mariners and the supporters? Shouldn't there also be some consideration for the morale of the fan base? If we've all got the shits with our team and the other supporters when we go to the game, how is that helping us support the Marinators?

So, back to my original point; the Wikipedia article is a load of shit and should be either ignored or (preferably) corrected. If we need a trolling Wikipedia article to instigate improvements in our supporters than the Marinators would truly be a sad excuse of a supporters group.

So, why would Keensy simply post the article on this forum without fixing the f**king thing? Obvious Answer: because he likes to aggravate people. And I guess Keensy will continue to say "so which bit of it is untrue" but its blatantly obvious that the general tone of the article is negative and not good for the Mariners; especially as a Wikipedia reference for public consumption.

:soapbox:

I posted the article and I gave my reasons earlier. It wasn't to antagonise, it was to bring this to the attention of the marinators (which is why it was on the marinators message board). The reasons I didn't amend it is, I don't know (also don't want to know) how you amend Wiki articles, I have no involvement in the Marinators etc.

LOL Keensy stirs the pot well, he simply stating his opinion and is looking at the facts.

IMO the bay won't improve unless people who left the bay return and try to make a difference
