ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where will you be playing in 2009?

I sprained my ankle twice in 6 months playing basketball a few years ago so I wear an ankle brace for any extended periods of running these days. And my knee caps slide around...they don't track quite properly. So not major issues.

Good luck with it all mate, I've got a knee injury that often comes back it's not cool at all (I just tape it when it happens)

Thanks Omni. I'm really looking forward to getting out on the pitch again. Just to be playing sport again will be great. I've started working on getting back in shapoe to. I went to the gym today, and I aim to go at 3-5 times a week til I move down there.

Ankles and knees are something really dangerous to mess with, particularly with some of the pitches on the coast. I'm sure you know it but just make sure you don't push too hard, ease into it and listen to your body, pain is usually the body's way of telling you to STOP!

Yeah. I'd like to still be able to walk in 20 years.

The ankle is more of a precautionary thing...the sprains were about 5 years ago now. So they're all healed up. But better to be safe then sorry.
