Possession means jack shit, especially against the turgid, slow build up of Newcastle. Sydney are average no doubt, but Newcastle only got some peanuts because of the individual brilliance of Yuel. It had nothing to do with possession.

Not a fact and I disagree with that.

Think of all the teams that trounced us when we had Okon yet we “dominated possession”.

Sydney’s biggest problem is that they didn’t know how to press properly and as they grew more tired Newcastle had more outs and their dangerous players received the ball more.

This probably because of poor coaching, poor fitness and an ageing team than dominating possession.

After tonight both Rhyan Grant and Mathew Leckie (in the other game) should be no where near our national team.

Not sure who you would put in, in Grants place but Leckie could easily be replaced. The young Volpato from Roma would be worth a spot.

Bullshit. This is a perfect working of VAR and still people f**king whinge. ?

Most of the issues seem to be not giving us the VAR images and lines. There's zero transparency on whether hawkeye can rule on that, I assume it can if it can rule on an offside 1m further forward but without the confirmation we're left bickering among ourselves with no faith in the system. VAR and replays are an area where Paramount has some catching up to do.
