ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Wow, um, how bout that game huh....

lol

Didn't we just win five nil away? At the SFS??!!

Though... on the bright side, a bit of active support leader baiting, certainly seems to get the ol forum activity up!
;)

Re Perez and Amini, talk about a good problem to have.
But if not both at once.
Definitey Perez, he's still another level above Musty for now but the future looks very bright indeed.

if you want my ideas on how to make things better come talk to me. and i can tell you that they will help, as i know the reasons many people don't want to join active support at mariners games. but whenever i say it online you take it as a personal attack.
Your acting like a 13 year old, and there is no need for that.

Jimi

Ok.

I normally don't wade into these ones cause I don't do active support (young family with me and such) but when I read the above I couldn't resist.

Jimi, I believe that if you want things done better ??? its up to you to make the effort to travel the distance between and put forward your ideas.

Now unfortunately, even if they are good ideas or great knowledge, you've completely f**ked it and burnt that bridge. I'm guessing that the forum is not the place that active support dream up the bulk of their plans and ideas so what makes you think that airing your ideas here will do any good. What makes you think that all the active support members are even on here.

Your the one acting like a 13 yr old. Man up and front the active support and air your ideas. If your so keen why not try to make friends with those that matter rather than throw little grenades designed to stir the pot.

The Mariners have just had the best win in their history, they produced the classiest performance I've seen in the time I've been following them, and we have the unedifying spectacle of supporters slagging off at each other.
Lighten up guys, we've got a great team starting to play great football, let's enjoy together what we're seeing on the paddock. These other things don't matter a damn in the long term; each supporter offers his support in the way he feels most comfortable. That's all we need to know.

5-0 who gives a rats about your issues.

I just hope the Mariners can back this form up in the next few games. If we are in the top 4 come New years we are in for a big chance.

I've never liked Wilko at full back.I hope he leaves him in the centre and has something else up his sleeve for full back.

Wilko played all of season 1 at RB and was excellent.
He made the "Four Four Two" team of the year as RB.

What is it that you don't like about him at FB?

It was an excellent, amazing actually but on the discussion enraging plenty. I agree with certain things Jimi has said and are highly valid having experienced a few of these issues but his way of acting on it as has been mentioned is wrong. It's time to unite not divide

who gives a rats about active support!!!!!

I used to... but not anymore. Too much pettiness and immaturity on display from all parties for my liking. The "debate" that has occurred in this thread has just reinforced my opinion. It's a shame that the so-called advocates of active support cant see that they are the ones that are driving a lot of people away from joining in.

Controversial hey? ;)

This "debate" has ruined what should be a positive and uplifting thread. We all know who fired the first shot and I appreciate it's difficult to let someone get away with having a dig, but the relentless obsession with having to have the last word is so bloody boring! there is a folder specifically devoted to issues relating to active support, why can't the debate be held there? Moderators... can't you move comments of that ilk to the appropriate folder? Combatents can fire insults at each other to their hearts content, safe in the knowledge that 99% of the remaining forum users will never ever see them because.... THEY DONT GIVE A RATS!!!

on the mini and perez debate, perez wins, but musti has some serious cred building for such a young kid!
I also disagree with who ever it was that says we have slow wingers (inc bojic) particularly on that right flank
they were flying! look forwawrd to the next match

Season one was a long time ago and I probably only saw about half of it and at the time I couldn't tell one player from another.

But I do remember him getting ripped a new one up at the scumdome in season 2.......I can't remember who was playing out on the left for Newcastle but he left Wilko for dead everytime the ball went out there. There was a couple of other games but tbh I can't remember who against.

I think you'll find I said w don't have speedsters on the wings.

Pedj was flying. (Maybe too much sadly) He has decent pace - but its not the same as the likes of Leckie, Ramsay, Kellaway, Mninicon, Williams Brosque and others... Rose when he gets forward is clearly our fastest on the pitch. But as with Pedj he's a wing back if anything and not a winger.

Anyhow, my point at the time was about the necessity of a playmaker - in lieu of Weemac and Ollie not being typical wide speedsters as many try to get their wings to be - and hence why GA probably went with a narrow diamond 442.

I was really impressed with the way we played.
It was fast, accurate passing without the long crap from previous seasons.
I think Arnie needs to be congratulated for the way he has transformed our style of play.
We still have a long way to go but I`m a happy little camper at the moment. 5-0 is a good win in any language.
IMO I thought Amini was fantastic & when Lewis scored that did it for me. The joy on his face was priceless.
I can`t wait for the next real home game!!!!!!!!!
Bay 43 is the place to be!
