ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A bad result that has been coming, had to happen sooner or later, even against Brisbane we were largely second best for most of the game, Brisbane just suck real bad. I think we're starting to see some of the office/admin unrest filter through to the playing group.

Sains was really good, no issue with him holding players to account, we need a response from the group and Jacko hasn't been able to do it. There's no hunger or desire to get on and change a game, it's all a but too timid for mine. Left field suggestion but would consider moving Sains into a CDM position and shafting either Alfie or Steele, he'll bring the composure and distribution we're sadly lacking.

Alfie is improving significantly, having Sains behind him has helped a lot.

You want to drop our top goal scorer?!! 😜

I dont think its anything to do with the chaos and carnage in the office. I think its the standard reaction when some players know others are shit and some arent putting in. All sides are the same when there are poor results. As Ange said, players are human beings and react like them.
You have the coach and senior players calling out others and the coach saying he wants new signings.
Totally destabilising and bad management.

There has been so much chopping and changing, player formations, starting eleven, different subs, injuries, discipline issues; that It is no wonder things are so chaotic.

Jackson is looking for answers with these changes but he needs to settle the squad very quickly or the season could turn bad. This is very much on him, not the underperformance of the first eleven and the subs.

Did you lift this from the fan forum of his last 2 clubs? - starts well, tinkers, turns to shit and cant be fixed.

He is, but still not doing enough for a starting visa player imo. I think giving Sains a go in the middle and having Steele/Alfie compete for one spot could be good for the team, at the moment either of those two can afford an off game because no one is there to step in
I don't hate it as an idea but I doubt Sains has the fitness at the moment. You'd also be playing arguably your best player out of position. I can see where you're coming from though.

We desperately need Sains in the back line. I think that's a more critical position, given we don't currently have a dependable central defender.

I think CAM is probably a bigger focus than CAM. I don't think the back line links to the mids are our weak point

How do you mean, “a bad result that has been coming”.

Did you miss the Adelaide and Wellington games?
