ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
I hadn’t noticed!I blame Paull
I'm saying it's rarely just 1 person.Adams was not Paull's player in the set piece.
It's a matter of opinions. That is why we love football.
You blame Brian and Trent. I blame Paull
We can always find reasons to justify our opinions
Been solid. Would like him to be a bit better in possession at times. So you don't rate Storm? Been playing very well in thought.
Not always. But in most situations on the field an immediately previous event influences the outcome heavily. It's always a matter of opinion
You can't always blame the preceding events for the outcome
That's a rediculous analogy. May as well say DPC is a rubbish goalkeeper because he doesn't win headers at attacking corners. Completely unrelated events. It's like blaming passing backwards at kick off for not scoring goals
Except Brian apparently. Any errors he makes get automatically chalked up to Paull. You can criticise every player at times
It is a team sport
Yup. I don’t even care who was at fault after this. This is precisely where it went wrong and from two players who absolutely should have known better. That's fully on Brian and Trent. They had ample opportunity to play out and kept passing back to DPC as the press closed in. Don't give away the corner and there's no header to contest.
Hang on. Can't do that according to cap. Previous events don't influence outcomes.Hate to pick on him but our Brazilian wage thief losing his challenge opened up our left and allowed the counter.
The rest was panic but the cause was him.
Actually… yup!!!!!!!Hate to pick on him but our Brazilian wage thief losing his challenge opened up our left and allowed the counter.
The rest was panic but the cause was him.
Nobody is disputing the previous achievements of storm, Brian or Trent. But you cant use that to dismiss their errors and pass the blame to others.I am only responding when my opinion is different to yours
That is the beauty of football. Everyone has different opinions
I agree that Brian and Trent are at fault on many occasions as you state
Paull is young and will learn as he gets older with more experience
He has shown improvement but should not be considered in the same league as his other defenders
Trent has played all over the world and represented his country over 60 times
Brian is his country's national captain and is a wall of a defender
Storm has also represented his country numerous times
All three have been major cogs in our winning championship teams
Yep. Next year will be interesting. These draws have really killed us this season now unfortunately.I was thinking this during the game. We have a great bunch of kids that is kind of going unnoticed because of our lacklustre season. De Lima works his socks off for the team and has quality, Brandtman works hard and has had some big moments, out of the team at the moment but still a great prospect, Scicluna finaaaally getting into the team and is serious quality. Everyone will see that clear as day soon. DPC learning on the job but his natural elite shot stopping is a good starting block. New boy Faisal imo could become our new Silvera. Ofcourse Migz is our current golden boy of our teenage bunch coming back into the fold soon. Then clearly Haine Eames is a serious talent, could be anything he wants to be going forward. And then the boys that are close but not featured yet… Sambrook and Paragalli.
I get that we’re all pretty disappointed with how this seasons going, plenty of moments of anger and frustration. Definitely spiralling around here sometimes. But it ain’t all doom and gloom folks.
I stopped reading after this lolPaull is clearly not Aleague centre back standard
Nathan has more goals and assists too 😉Brian's more dominant aerially whereas Nathan is a better tackler.
Stats don't tell you how well a player positions himself or reads play. I agree Brian has had some poor games as well this season.I stopped reading after this lol
This is Paull's defensive actions per 90
This is Brian's
Brian's more dominant aerially whereas Nathan is a better tackler.
And this season, Brian has been poor in both those aspects compared with previous seasons.Stats don't tell you how well a player positions himself or reads play. I agree Brian has had some poor games as well this season.
What's your point? And this season, Brian has been poor in both those aspects compared with previous seasons.
The telling stat for me is tackles won v duels won percentagesI stopped reading after this lol
