Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Agreed, this was pointed out by people around me too. Fitness levels have dropped off a cliff. We're gassed early and a key strength from last year finishing games strong is now the complete opposite.

It's been said a lot but really, Brice leaving his S&C post has been as big a loss as any from last season's successes.
I agree to some extent. That is we always played strongly until the end last season. But this is not last season's (as well as not having last season's fitness team).

This was our GF side last season - only Tappy from the starting XI could not be described as a long term player that should have a bank of fitness. I remember Monty coming back from injury and he basically ran around the training field at Tuggerah for over two hours without a break while the rest did their training. i.e. he worked harder than anyone that day - just with no contact - that is a bank of fitness.

GK 20 Australia Danny Vukovic (c)
LB 18 Australia Jacob Farrell
CB 3 Vanuatu Brian Kaltak
CB 23 Fiji Dan Hall
RB 15 New Zealand Storm Roux
LM 7 Australia Christian Theoharous
CM 6 Australia Max Balard
CM 26 Australia Brad Tapp
RM 2 Brazil Mikael Doka
CF 4 Australia Josh Nisbet
CF 9 Australia Alou Kuol '

Substitutes:
GK 30 Australia Jack Warshawsky
MF 16 Australia Harry Steele
FW 17 Australia Jing Reec
FW 22 Brazil Ronald Barcellos
DF 33 Australia Nathan Paull
MF 39 Australia Miguel Di Pizio
FW 99 England Ryan Edmondson

Last night we started with Faisal whose ALM career spans after yesterday spans 572 minutes and Eames a 16 year old with 516 minutes.

De Lima a 17 year old has played 310 minutes. Kuz - although a bit older has only player 475 minutes after his ACL injury.

Even our captain has not played for a considerable amount of time.

TBH we were very lucky over the last two seasons in avoiding to a large extent ACL and broken bones. Our fitness guys did amazing work. But this is not the hardened squad of last season and we no longer have our previous fitness team.

My reading of the Tea Leaf's and Taro cards...

We miss Danny V, a lot, its becoming more obvious each week he organised the defence... both goals were the result of poor nay terrible decisions made by our two experienced centre backs...

The first goal Brain did not step when others did and left a player either side of him onside.... the second gaol ... you don't put an 18 yo kid with about a dozen games under that pressure with hospital passes on his wrong foot ....

To me its becoming more obvious as the weeks pass, Brain K is not great at organising those around him... he can follow instructions... he is brilliant but leading the backs is not his greatest strength...

Doka should have scored and that would have put the game to bed....

On the bright side the kids are playing beyond expectations and we will have a great season next year...

His touches are sublime. His vision is top notch. Just needs to grow physically (that’s just pure time as he gets older) The rest is already there. Phenomenal player. Enjoy him while you can.
Agree, looks like a future Nizzy. I hope we have a long contract with favourable on-sell clauses

Id say the head of Performance is the guy who is ultimately responsible, the buck stops with him. Hopefully they can book a zoom session in to discuss his performance
Actually CCM probably do still use Zoom. Why worry about internet security?
MC can fix this if he wants to.
Punt the part time remote guy. Ask Brice to come back.
Unless the football dept are ok with it. Hopefully they arent

I brought this up months ago, 100% agree. The root cause of the problem is gone, apologise in behalf of the club, offer Brice his position back, keep Andy from having any ammo against the club in his book and let's f**king get on with being one of the fittest teams in the comp again.

Also the younger guys don’t have that peak fitness level that a 25yr old has.

We lost Niz Balad Dan + more i. That peak age and fitness age range.

Also the most running is the midfield and wings where we are pretty young or in Steele case first full season.

Only Theo is the right age and his peak is 60mins

Fajeo is the fittest but also the shitest player. Well we don’t know if he does cardio and we don’t want too

He is the fittest? He looks slow and unfit to me, I could be wrong but he definitely does not strike me as a work horse.
Id say our fittest was Mauragis

Smithy has a great engine but seems to be on the nose
We are so lopsided without a LWB it seems to be cutting his nose off to spite his face.
Smithy and Faisal would be a real handful with Doka and Theo on the other flank.

Too simple?

If we couldn't even bring him back to his own club, the one he said he will always owe, the one that his f**king brother is currently playing at.... We have seriously dropped as a club.

This is incredibly deflating and the entire organization needs to take a look at itself.

Im embarrassed.
