If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Treble Winners v Scummiest Scum To Ever Scum

Jest second goal was all because of two experienced CBs f...ing around with the ball.
Not that I ever want to see the Jest score against us but Brian and Trent deserved copping that goal for their stupid back passing decisions.
We are going to need to win 50% to 75% of our remaining matches to make the top 6 after these draws.
Looking at the matches coming up I can't see us getting there.
If we manage to, then we will go on and win it.

Note: Faijal should rarly be back on the park again for us (basically only for injuires). He changed forward goal scoring attacks into dangerous counter attacks every time he took a heavy touch.

The 4 points lost in our last two games has cost us the season, I'm looking to next season with the obvious cuts we meet to make.

Kaltak is not himself this season.

The imports are incredibly sub par.

The recruiting was horrible, how could we not convince an Archie Goodwin or a Ibusuki to come to the treble winners?

Agree. This seasons failure can be directly related to terrible recruitment, poor S&C and all of the money being ripped out.
Charlesworth not investing and bottling a derby.
We are back baby 💖

And now for something completely different............................................................a positive. How good was Eames? Really impressed. On the ball terrific, keen to win back possession, and his passing accuracy too. Some lovely lofted passes as well as sharp long ones through through the opposition to the feet of a team mate.

The absolute ceiling of this squad is making the preliminary. No way are they winning the GF again this season. The top 2 are on another level compared to us.

The passing and one touch football was waaaay better than I've seen this season. It left me thinking that injuries have forced us to play our younger players and its showing them to be a level above some of the senior rejects.

Missed the game as up at Byron attending a great reggae concert.Saw highlights.Disappointing to give up a two goal lead but defensive problems appear to have been the root cause.Good to see Paull and Faisal score.Lots of scorn for an 18 yo GK is harsh-let's not write him off .

Not just you tbf. There’s been a lot of needless shit flung in their direction both on the forum and on socials.
Not necessary, and not advisable.
So you are saying that we have another situation where the powers at be can’t be questioned, for fear of retribution?
From what I saw, (and heard) at the game, was questioning the colour choice of the all blue Polytec outfits, in mass numbers which looked like we had multiple away bays. Probably wouldn’t have been an issue if we were playing Adelaide. But yesterday, it was a questionable choice.
Along with making our lanyards all blue Polytec and removing the season, which I thought was staple. Yes.. I think that’s also questionable and many said that st the time.
If they are that confident in their power and decision making, I don’t imagine our opinions affect them in any way whatsoever. Doesn’t mean we can't have them and if we can’t voice them, that’s an issue.
Definitely appreciate having a major sponsor and they are making a seriously big effort. That stuff doesn’t grow on trees. Just hoping not to lose the “Community” aspect any more that we already have. Thats all.

Why is this a thing? Who really cares about a 1 off.?

Speaking of needless shit being flung about on socials ...how about the karens bitching about the chants from the YA on facebook
I think the flare and throwing things was a bigger issue.
I don’t remember having this kind of feedback after a derby, so I assume it must have been bad.
Disappointing that a handful have tarnished the whole active bay, particularly after the efforts with the banners etc.

His touches are sublime. His vision is top notch. Just needs to grow physically (that’s just pure time as he gets older) The rest is already there. Phenomenal player. Enjoy him while you can.

One thing that hasn’t been talked about last night but has all season was the fitness
Massive drop off late.

Yes heavy travel but last year we were winning in the last 15 and getting stronger no matter where the contiki tour took us.

I know Faisal just arrived so is forgiven. Theo is 60mins max. That’s just reality.

I know some of the fitness issues are 16-20yr olds stepping up to first team football, so not only do they have that stepup they then need to fitter again

I think this is where loosing mid 20’s Year old players is affecting our squad fitness.

We lost control late
Steele first consecutive games in years
Eames 16/17
So the mids did drop off badly.

Jacko should have put scicula on to stack the midfield
