ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

More thoughts - ditch the count in on "who do we sing for" - it loses the pace. When we dropped it off later in the night we rolled through much quicker and sounded sharper.

Also, for Tetris - could it be the 44th and 68th minute thing?

If so, we could bring it in from say, 43:20 or 43:30 with a long "whooooooooooooaaaaaaaaa... 1-2-3-4" and BANG straight into it.

Agree on ditching the count in for WDWSF - only reason it was done is when we've done it in the past, everyone in the bay goes too quickly. Seems like most have the point to not rush it now though so we'll be sweet. Tetris is becoming iconic and could very well be the 44th/68th min thing. Was flipping stoked how many stayed behind, still singing it in the bay 15 mins after full time... Chants, eh... Can't bloody get them started, the you can't finish them! :shoutclap:

Tetris tifo is an idea we've toyed with... we've got so many ideas we're throwing around now, it's great.

Faaaaaaark I'm so stoked.

ALSO - thank you all so much for your kind words and support. Last night was the start of something big. That will be foundation to make sure we keep getting bigger and better. We're developing a style of active support which is our own and it's great to see how much fun everyone's having again - that's a massive thing, making sure it's fun.

I'm so rapt with how last night worked out and am so excited for the times ahead.

BTW - can't get f**king Tetris out of my head. It would be awesome to do a Tetris tifo that comes together and creates a picture of the trophies we're going to win this season.
I was singing Tetris all the way down the F3 to myself. Noice. Wish I could've stuck around for longer after the whistle.

As for the x-day is for x-player, I kind of like it with all the old players. The ones that won the championship. Gets me nostalgic every time we sing it.

Part of the reason I haven't changed it yet. Will need to happen eventually though.
TBH the major problem for me with that chant is people lose interest in it pretty quickly. Thinking about using it very sparingly.

The band are awesome but they run the risk of being seriously hurt if they stop playing the game of thrones tune. My wife loves that tune (a little to much - watch out band).

Was awesome when the trumpeter ran across the west grand stand - Had every one excited but not sure what to do - A bit of clap started - Massive potential to get him to do it again & get the whole side involved.

At the Asian game a get everyone standing was tried & sort of worked. Maybe use him to run across the top blowing the trumpet & maybe a side kick to gesture to everyone to stand up -

Then maybe a cracking COAST chant or something - There is some potential there

There were quite a few interested in the coast chant in the west stand but not quite enough to get it rolling with you guys. The rest just need a bit of encouragement to turn it into the majority is doing it so I should do it to. It's just at that I want to but not everyone is stage.

I was well impressed with the lack of repetition in chants. When I started going to games a couple of seasons ago it felt like the same five or six chants repeated all day, now it feels like we've got a decent set of songs.

A note from Bay 46: when the Yellow Army chant 'Who Do We Sing For', some fans reply with 'We Sing for Yellow', others with 'We Sing for Mariners' and others still with just 'Yellow' or 'Mariners'!

I guess we need to let 'em know what sounds best and stick with it.

'We Sing for Wanderers' works so well for the RBB that I reckon 'We Sing for Mariners' is the most appropriate response. (Especially when we are not wearing predominantly yellow!)

We've been doing it as "We Sing For Yellow" for a few years now. Prefer the 2 syllables; "We Sing For Mariners" sounds too rushed IMO. Sure, it works for the RBB, but I don't care what works for them. We're focusing on our own style of support.

I had a feeling there'd still be a lot of people going "We sing for Mariners" though as we did that... um... 2007/2008 I think (as well as "we sing for Coasties", so yeah, there's bound to be a bit of confusion there). I'll just need to turn that big bastard mega up another couple of notches to make sure everyone knows to scream "We sing for yellow". Even when we're not wearing predominantly yellow, we still "all follow a yellow football team"!

Except that we have been singing 'we sing for yellow' for years .. so why give the RBB any amunition, plus it sounds better mate

. agree about the confusion ... and agree about the yellow - it should be yellow

. i have also put forward that 'the loose cannon' could include some info on the chants and general crowd participation for the basic stuff
The YA should have there own column in the loose cannon imo
