ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

tbh i dont like it....3 sides just looks crap imo, especially at that side. I wouldnt care if we lost the palm trees andwater views, i go to watch the football not the water.

4 sided stadium ole!

Dibo can you move the second level forward a bit and make it a roof for about half the first level? also make the top level a bit steeper and then we are in business :p

was mucking around with google sketchup the other night, and made up the following simple mockup of what a vastly expanded bluetongue might look like:

That looks good dibo but can you highlight the areas that will be terraces?

Also where is the high security away bay going to be? Best to let newieutd know where he will be sitting in the future.  ;)

you'd do the central 3 bays of the lower northern end as a terrace similar to what's at werder bremen:

nothing to move, nothing to add, you just lock the seats upwards for terrace mode, allow them to be flipped down for seated mode. too easy. btw - bay 16 would still be the bay in the middle of the lower northern end.

not sure how many would fit in there tbh.

newcastle fans can be six feet under the turf.

there's a roof to the fenceline, to move the upper tier any further forward you either
- screw the sightlines for the peeps up top (they can't see the sidelines), or
- you have to flatten the lower tier so much you screw the sightlines for the lower tier (they can't see over the heads of those in front) and you don't clear the railway line, or
- you have to make the top tier so steep that it's simply not comfortable.

i'd be happiest with that too, just copy and paste the northern end on the south side and away you go. can't happen on that site though - bridge, palm trees, not enough room...

I've heard talk in the past about closing Dane Dr and diverting traffic around the back of Gosford in order to open up the waterfront. If this is the case then that would solve the Southern end grand stand problems. You may not have the space to mirror the northern end but you could build a smaller stand to fit into the available space. It doesn't have to be too flash - it's for the away supporters after all :p

PS Where will we play when this is being built? My guess is that it will take more than the off season to construct this masterpiece. Any suggestions? Perhaps schedule away games for the first half of the season??

build western grandstand first in the off season followed by eastern during the season with the Northern end done during the following off season.

thats why i reckon we should relocate to another area around gosford and turn the current stadium into apartments after the new stadium is built

I strongly disagree because if the stadium moves I will need to move again so I only have to walk across the road to get to Mariners games :p

Are we going to have yellow seats with "CENTRAL COAST MARINERS" written in Dark Blue Across it or something of the like? :p

Forget that, lets contact the club adz, advise that we only moved where we did due to the stadium, so if they move, they have to take us with them ;)

i think eventually (a long way down the track) the coast will get a second stadium much bigger further north on the Coast...
this being because there is only so much you can expand BT by.

Hate to say it but Thomas is right.  I work up at Cessnock and there is no love for the mighty blue and yellow. Dyed in the wool scum up there.  Griffiths is God and they reckon the shirts are coloured gold not poo brown.  Only got one eye for two heads.  Not even worth thinking about.
