I think I said similar things at the exact same venue a few years ago under Okonball and we lost 3-0 to Victory. Connor Pain pulled me aside to have a chat as a result. He agreed. It was his last season at the club.

We've been fkn owning them lately, especially on away trips!
There were a few things in there that came off as digs at the club. That convo which didn’t need to be included, Papas himself talking to the grounds manager about getting on to the stadium pitch etc..
I thought the rumour was their situation was all but sorted in the off-season. Obviously not.

I felt very weird seeing Brice Johnson in their colours. Seeing Brice back with us in CCM gear just feels right. He was buzzing after Saturday night as we all were.

Back in June 2015 I was at a wedding and spent the afternoon with the bridal party during their photoshoot between the ceremony and the reception. During this shoot in a park, the photographer wanted everybody (me included) to laugh for the camera and I was like WTF are we supposed to laugh about on cue?
One of the groomsmen (an old friend who supports the Roar) then says "So......Newcastle Jets....." and we both threw our heads back and laughed in this manner:
The good part was, one of the bridesmaids (later) told me that was the moment she first noticed me. (I'd actually noticed her the moment she walked into the church during the wedding ceremony, but didn't go and ask her to dance until my role as the MC had been fulfilled later that evening at the reception. I like to keep it professional).
The part that sucks is I never saw the actual photo and (considering the bride and groom have now split) I probably never will...

I motion we change the name of this thread to 'So....Newcastle Jets....'

I don’t go on Facebook often and even less often do I read the comment sections. But just now a Jets post was suggested to me about Elsey leaving them. The comment section is truly hilarious seeing how angry their fans are at the state of the club and MANY references to how well we’re going at the minute and that their club should try follow our directive.

Has that club ever been run well? They kinda run and play like they're a big club but we know they ain't.
They’ve never once tapped into the football heartland that their region really is. That in itself is truly hilarious.
