ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

There is no excuse for not being able to grow grass at this time of year. :headbutt:

Especially as there has been plenty of rain.

I used to play cricket in the summer and rugby in the winter on the same grounds on the same grass and all were better than Bluetongue.

Absolute disgrace, especially as it gets very little use.

We are getting ripped off.

yeah the reason the pitchs were so good is the blood and bone i left there .
some bastard always caught me and manage to tackle me 11 yards up a pitch.
got my first taste of a maori side step on concord oval.
managed to take skin off my head and arse at the same time

This pitch is a major problem for the ball players weemac amini bosanic all struggle on the bluetongue surface this could be a big factor in the run in ,the boys have played great away from home and when they get back to bluetongue its a struggle passing is short pitch is rutted ,they need a surface were they can move the ball quickly thats their strengths ,other teams will come to bluetongue and do just what gold coast done park the bus get it sorted or move .

Winter grass is dying and summer grass is coming through.

Has happened late because of cool weather.

With a multitude of home games in next few weeks pitch will only get worse.

Spoke with someone at the game who is involved with ground maintenance for grounds on the Coast and he said the same thing. The winter grass is being killed off but because summer has yet to arrive, there is nothing to replace it yet.

Not fair to blame the groundsman on the unusually cool summer.

There is no problem with the summer grass in my yard, nor on any of the golf courses on which I play. I do not see a great problem with other pitches in the A League.

Yet it appears every year there is a problem with Bluetongue and same lame excuse as to why. :yellowcard:
