ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Management 101. Praise in public, criticise in private
It’s boring PR but it’s popular for a reason.

Keep your dirty laundry secret. So you don’t upset people.

2 big fails.
I would not fund the woman team due to cost and cost recovery. Not popular but factual. People here don’t like it because they like the woman team (as do i). But would they want the women’s team to be the thing that pushes the club over the edge financially (which was a concern when we floated the idea). It’s not right or wrong if people prefer to go bankrupt with both but you open yourself for criticism. Honesty is not always received well.

Allyssa remark was a pointed remark to almost justify pushing Shaun out or justifying her position at the time. Depends on your personal feelings whether you agree or not but you open yourself up for criticism instead of keeping the narrative Shaun left on his own. Plenty have grabbed onto the comment.

I think the better angle to come at it would have been to make more mention of things being the way they are due to everyone doing a lot with very little, creating blurred lines, people sometimes operating outside their scope. One of our old strengths that got us through lean times holding us back moving into a new era.

Frame it more as a reset and creating better structure. Maybe those conversations were had and got cut who knows.

. i'm intrigued by the notion of Alyssar pushing Shaun out (and i'm not sure whether this is what you were implying, but i think some people are)

. i don't know the timing of events ... and/or recordings - but she didn't directly take over from Shaun, that was Adam which had her some way down the pecking order: Mike, Rich, Jordan, Adam, Alyssar ... when the comments were made she may have been glorified office manager

. of course it may have always been the plan (hers or another's), but if she was responsible - she may have more balls than people credit her with

. my person view is far more sinister: i think it was all part of Mike's master plan ... he only brought Rich in part time to be his toe-cutter allowing him to keep his hands clean and make sure responsibility for the revolution is not laid directly at his feet :piralaugh: :tinfoilhat:

Thats too generous of you. I suspect that it was to have someone else pay his bills for a couple of years. Like Kerry Packer said
"You only get one Alan Bond in your lifetime, and I've had mine."

You could be right but the executive producer who appointed her leaving it in seemed very deliberate.

She may well have more balls and we don’t know she may be right. Quite possibly.

She may also have worked her way to the top as best person for the job and better than those who were in front. I hope so.

I don’t think it was MC plan but he might not be unhappy with how it went
