There are certainly those for whom passion for club appears to be weaker than irrational hatred - see this little Twitter gem:
It's not entirely fair to single out JW but he has been the most blatant of the haters, refusing to enjoy a season where in spite of being rubbish last year and having roundly acknowledged very tight finances we've made smart recruits (perhaps Baird aside), are playing lovely football and are getting good results - more points and goals per game than any other season, 07/08 included (we actually scored more the following year).
I'll drink to that, it's a great time to be a Mariners fan.
I wonder what he'll be doing if we win the Grand Final? Picking wildflowers perhaps? Punting on the Cam? Taking harpsichord lessons?
