ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Suspect we will promote from within.

I suspect the club believes in succession planning and will know what they are going to do.

I'm betting its unlikely to be Gumps tho lol

Well, since viddie has left for adelaide, and tobin is in charge of youth. Who is there to call on?
Other than gumps?
And other than Bozza of course

Yeah man that seems reasonable as he already has one foot through the door.

Would it be more likely that McLaff will take the youth team as he already worked with the Academy and Tobin will move back to 1st team coach??

I was thinking that also

Not sure if John is the right guy for the job as coach of our youth team though. Time will tell

Ferguson joins new club

Sportal

Central Coast Mariners assistant coach Ian Ferguson has been unveiled as the inaugural coach of the new Hyundai A-League franchise North Queensland FC.

Ferguson has been Lawrie McKinna's second-in-charge since the Mariners' first season and played an instrumental role in assisting the club to two Grand Final appearances.

Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman said Ferguson's departure would be a loss for the club but wished him all the best in his new role.

"While it will always be with mixed emotions that we farewell anyone from the Mariners family, let alone a stalwart who has been there from day one, there will always come a time when some members of the club will need to move on to further their own career," said Gorman.

"We currently have on our books 10 of our foundation year players, a greater number than any other club, all of our coaching staff and all of our senior management. This is testament to the fact that our philosophy of assisting in the growth of our people serves us very well."

"Ian has been an outstanding contributor towards getting us where we are today and is a wonderful ambassador for the game."

"His technical knowledge is outstanding and he and I have discussed on many occasions over the past two years his career pathway, including his burning ambition to be a fully fledged football manager one day in the Hyundai A-League. That day has now arisen and we are proud to have been a part of his development and in assisting him to achieve his ultimate goal in this regard."

The 41-year-old former Glasgow Rangers great will start work immediately for his new club in Townsville in order to prepare for its 2009/10 debut season.

The Mariners tackle leader Melbourne in a Round 5 blockbuster at Gosford on Saturday night.

which is why i changed the thread title in the first place. another thread had to be merged into it before, and that was yellowbeard's (someone who's been around long enough to know the golf swing story).

Guilty of being lazy and not reading the other threads.
The story goes back to ... nah, not one for posting on here ;-)

We need to make a thread about how there are too many threads about the Ferg and then a thread about appropriate thread titles to avoid multiple threads about the same thread.
