ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Thankyou Lawrie.

Regardless of our recent record, the guy has put his heart and soul into the club since before the bid.

2 GF's a league title and a PSC is a great record and the development of some quality young players to boot.

Thank you for all your work for the club and the coast.

The man is class and will never be forgotten for what he has done for this club, no matter what the critics said he always proved them wrong.

A gentleman, a great coach, mentor and motivator.

And a funny bastard.

Over 5 years (or more) he's done wonderful things for this club and it's fans.

All the best to Lawrie, and I hope he can continue to lead us to success from his new role.

You can only say so much in this situation but whatever is said, he deserves all the plaudits.

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)

Thank you Lawrie for singing on live radio and becoming a naturalised aussie.
Thank you for not putting up with all the BS that the media have given you, the players, the club and the fans.
Thank you for the Premiership, the grand finals trips, the pre season cups and all those times we've beaten the Jets.
Thank you for bringing existing legends like Aloi$i, Mori, Vidmar, Pondeljak, Tobin to the club and promoting the careers of Beauchamp, Jedinak, Heffernan, Vukovic, Simon, Hutcho to new, international heights.
And thank you for staying on your new role so the COE can flourish into a world class centre and the first team will be in safe, commercial hands for years to come.

despite recent results lawrie has put his all into this club and without him it wouldnt be the same place, he was always keen to do the radio interview, attend functions etc - he will be missed for all of this however i think the club has done the right thing - we need someone to take us to the next level, whether arnold out is the man to do this remains to be seen, but he has my support until proven otherwise despite the Asian cup debacle

My fave Lawrie moment?

Bear, Mick and I are at Pluim on a freezing cold night enduring a dire CCL performance when LM walks past (the night Mick abused the CCL fullback only to find his mum sitting in front of us who wasnt impressed)

He laughs and tells us to get a life as he is working but we didnt have to be there. Quality guy.

Was awesome to have him as coach - The World Cup made me interested in Football - but Lawrie was the one who got me hooked for life :) -can't thank him enough for that!

Lawrie McKinna, absolute legend and inspiration. I'm so glad to hear he's staying with the club because from the very start he's shown nothing but pure passion and commitment to CCM and the Central Coast in general. Good luck in your new role Lawrie.

Just thanks Lawrie

Thanks for the 18 months with no income and a mortgage, before the club was accepted into the A-League

Thanks for 5 seasons, a Premiership, into 2 Grand Finals, a PreSeason Cup, and so many memories on the park.

Thanks for being a top bloke off the pitch

Thanks for becoming part of the community

Thanks Lawrie.

Even though I have been critical of some of your management of the team over the last 2 years (and occasionally very supportive) I still think that you have been a massive success for our club over the 5 seasons.
I hope you stay with us for many years to come as you are an intergral part of the Mariners and have so much to offer in the development of our beloved club.

Everyone on the Coast loves you mate.

Thanks Mate

Everyone has their own story about you ... I have never met you but I have admired in many ways what you have done..

IMO the best thing you have achieved for our club is not on the field, although two grand finals and a pre season cup are not easily written off..

No what you achieved was to get the Mariners accepted on the Coast at a time when many wanted the Bears RL team and many on the Coast where openly hostile towards the Mariners seeing them as claim jumpers...(Less us never forget that even SBS and Mrs Football wanted a Olympic or South Melbourne instead of the CC and did not help us at all)... Essentially no one was on our side and we had very limited funds...

In an area that on a per head % has the highest RL junior's... a number of massive nay mega RL clubs CCLM & Wyong spring to mind, as well as the smaller ones like Woy Woy & The Entrance...

The CC proud boast was it was RL heartland and the local media both radio and newspapers gave RL great support... That the team came in part from the Northern Spirit with its spiritual homeland of North Sydney Oval gave more fuel to the CC Bears faithful...

Somehow with good humour, and making yourself available to radio in particular you built pride in the CC of our football team... Today everyone on the CC wants the Mariners to do well, Football is seen in a good light, and most importantly the Mariners are viewed by locals as our team ... IMO no one did more to make this happen than yourself...For this I will be forever grateful and wish you well in your new role.

Lawrie i take my hat off to u,  u are the reason our community embraced the Mariners and i have enormous respect for you and your complete dedication to the Mariners and I will miss seeing you on the sidelines. All the very best and am so happy that you will still be a part of it all and am positive you will continue your passion and love for the game and the Mariners with the COE.

I want to pay my respects Lawrie for the job you have done with the club since its' inception. You have always made yourself available to the media and been approachable to the fans and general public. Many other coaches are thin-skinned or guard their ego's preciously, but you never seemed to care when the 'experts' on SBS or Fox would give the Mariners no chance. Instead you did what every manager should do and let the team's results give the biggest "Shut the f**k up!" to these same 'experts'.

True, these last 18 months have been difficult times, eased a little by last nights' great result, and the indicators were there that perhaps it was time to move on and let someone else take over the coaching role, but as Rugby League coaching great Jack Gibson said "Every coach knows that they're fired as soon as they're hired". Our gratitute is extended towards you for helping our club have the first 5 years that it did, avoiding the wooden spoon when many people said we were due for it every season, as well as taking us to a Grand Final twice and seeing us crowned the best team in the land. We are forever grateful.
