There’s a magical moment that sums up the Mariner’s determination for me, & it stars Ruon Tongyik.

At 73:36 minutes a charging Tongyik intercepts Sydney, putting his body on the line & proactively taking possession of the ball.

His grit, I’ll admit, thankfully leads to a goal, as the ball is then passed to Nisbet, then Smylie, whereby finally being rocketed past a stunned Redmayne by the energetic Kuol. 2-0 to Central Coast!

The Mariner’s seem to be playing with a real edge at the moment - a purpose.

Can step forward and play in the DM role too.
Very comfortable with the ball at his feet and happy to go for a run (like Sains used to)
He is an organiser and born leader.
